Hand Sander - Recommendation

My wife asked me to purchase a hand sander to be used to refinish a wooden bench that is outside our house. Also, the sander will be used to help refinish the cabinet doors in our laundry room (prior to painting). She asked if I could possibly find one that collects the "dust" in a bag - to minimize the mess.

Any ideas/recommendations? Should I consider cordless?

Thanks,
Mordi

I have a Bosch 5" random orbit sander. It has a dust bag that collects pretty much all the dust, I'm really happy with it. I've started using it just now and I'm surprised how little dust there is, if any. Bosch also has a palm sander for around $40. I used to have a DeWalt palm sander and it was a POS. It was the first and last DeWalt I've ever bought.

1/4 sheet sander - Porter-Cable 330
1/2 sheet sander - Porter-Cable 505

The 505 model can be fitted with their own dust collection attachment that hooks up to a vacuum hose that would make your wife very happy. :D
