Our son and his fiancee bought themselves a house a few months ago and I've really enjoyed helping/teaching them on some fix-em-ups. So he's in a real DIY mode and wants to clean up his stainless golf club faces a bit himself. I could let him use my ROS if hand sanding would work. What grits and polishes does he need? The have the usual minor scratches that can be minimized and a few more-than-minor scratches that can only be smoothed out. I'll assume they don't need mirror finishes.
The alternative would be to buy a few wheels and compounds for my grinder and do it right, but neither of us will be doing any other stainless finishing.
