Paid for my daughters college education. Riflery is a Division 1 sport. Yes, the gear is expensive but cheaper than tuition.

Nice work to both you and your daughter! I was a jack of many disciplines and shot rifle, pistol and shotgun and could help fill out multiple teams and not drag the group down but never had the dedication or desire to focus in on 1 discipline like she did. Shot against many future collegiate shooters in high school and always enjoyed watching the ladies kick the **** of some overly cocky young males who weren't well versed on the "whose who" at that particular match

And the plus side of the rifle gear is when well cared for it has a strong resale value after college is over!

College has been over for a few years. But she kept all the equipment. She made a few bucks coaching but has moved on. She only let me have an older Anschutz small bore but she has the other rifles (we used to joke that when she put the rifles in the car that she tripled the value of the car).

The “Tube Grip”

I have to add this as it was invented by my old boss, Rich Santefort, president of Valco Cincinnati where I was a design engineer for 11 years. My mentor Ray got The patent and developed the version for sale here. It was invented in the 1990’s to squeeze a small bead of silicone sealant used on the engine of Rich’s race truck.

My Irwin was at least 20 years old when I lost the end on it when the line snapped one day so I bought a new one and I hate it, It works OK it just feels cheap and doesn't handle being dropped like the old one.

So I bought a Milwaukee and it's right up there with one of the worst tool purchases I ever made. From first use gears would jam reeling in fast bringing it to an abrupt stop and almost every time that happened the line inside would become completely tangled, so much so I had to cut it out and replace it more than once. NEVER had that happen with a cheap Irwin before. I gave up and sold for $3 during our city-wide garage sale day and honestly felt like I was ripping off the poor old guy that bought it.

So now I was thinking about buying a Tajima or maybe aa Dewalt but before I did gave it a search on GJ and came up empty.

For performance/price, it's hard to beat Wurkkos flashlights... For example, the FC11 does it all and even has built in charging. Hopefully they also add reverse charging in the future (so you could charge the phone with your flashlight).

The Wurkkos HD15 and HD20 do have that feature (reverse charging).
