handle for odd chisel

I need to make a handle for this 2” chisel with an odd “tang” that’s larger around than any I’ve ever seen. 5/8” diameter but fairly short. 1-3/16” long. There are no markings to identify the manufacturer.

Not sure what the handle should look like.

I would suggest that is made to go with A single handle that has multiple interchangeable tips. Mine has a metal socket on the handle so that it locks in. It's not made to go in a wooden handle.

In my defense, this is what I was thinking

The set I own has the male portion on the blade, not the female portion as shown in this example.

But, as noted by my like above, I agree with @powerwagon63
