handlle for tool box top chest lid?

i was wondering if anyone had put a handle on there top chest lid. i know for me its a pain when by hands are oily or greasy and i need something out of the top and cant get it open because theres no handle. has anyone installed one and any recommendations on what to use

nice. thanks guys. anymore pics and ideas. also where's the best place to get replacement struts for the lid

you should be able to find just about any style of handle you could use at a hardware or big box store.

you havent mentioned what brand of box it is, someone can probably suggest a replacement strut

I only work on my own stuff anymore , which is not greasy/dirty,so I dont have the problem.As a side note though,my roll ing boxes havent had the lid closed in 20 + yrs except when we moved them up here from toledo. My original old craftsman box Ive had since the mid seventies,cant ever remember closeing that one either.

I was just thinking about using an old wrench. the tool chest is a mountain 41" 19 drawer
