Putting together a box for some upcoming work, and going through my tools. Found this...

I’m pretty sure it was my grandpas. And I’m sure the rest are in his old shed...

Can anyone tell me anything about it?

TIA!

And actually, I think this was the Handy Andy tool box the kit would have came in.

My Grampa took the lid off and duct taped sand paper underneath so it would fit under the seat of the 72 D100....

I think Handy Andy tools were made for children.

I believe you’re right. I don’t know where or why he had them, but the tool box was the perfect size to fit under the seat. He may have gotten it from a friend, or a yard sale, who knows...

The tools he kept in it definitely weren’t Handy Andy. They would have been a basic SAE mechanics set for roadside repairs....

Correct. I had a set when I was a little kid; probably between '58 and '62. Too young to understand much about what to do with tools. Small wood saw, ultra cheap pliers painted blue, and a small wooden mallet are all I can remember. Box was painted blue with some white and black on top. Apparently the same size as the OP's. Still may have the box and pliers somewhere.

I've picked some up at estate sales and sold them. There are collectors. Probably won't retire off the sale but they get a new life
