Hangar Floor Project

Hello All,

I am narrowing down which product to use to coat the hangar and garage floors of my house. I live on an airpark so my hangar and garage sit next to each other and would be protected with the same product.

I have 2300 sq' to cover, the floor is 20+ years old, in good shape, no gouges, cracks, etc. It has never been finished so I expect cleaning and etching will be sufficient preparation before finishing?

So far I have looked at "Armor Poxy Ultra" and Garage Flooring LLC's "Rust Bullet". I like the fact that Armor Poxy is used by the military which speaks to it's durability but I don't want to rule out other products until hearing from others what they used/recommend.

Thanks in advance!

Ahh.... I've flown in there before. It's a nice little air park. One of my brothers lives in Folsom and I had nephews begging me to fly in and take them up.

I agree with Benwah. A job with that square footage and what it's going to be used for, grinding really is the best way to go for epoxy. Acid etching is most likely more than enough if you go with Rust Bullet.

We love hangars! With over 5,000 hangars sold over the years under our belt we have quite a bit of experience with it.

A popular airplane enthusiast magazine has featured our products in an article. Should be published in Jan/Feb edition.
