Broadcast into wet epoxy for slip resistance, followed by second coat of epoxy and CRU urethane topcoat.

3 coats 5 guys 50 working days 7-3:30 71K square feet.

I been doing this a while, this is about as big I want on that schedule due to age. Bidding another now. Need rotator cuff repair X 2.

That looks really good...for now. We can fit 2 747's in our hanger. About 8-9 years ago the whole thing got an epoxy floor. Now all the concrete seems are cracking and it's coming off in pieces up to a couple inches. Every day we're picking up epoxy. Makes me not want to do my garage, but I'm not pulling 650,000lbs around my garage.

Since you do this professionally I'm just curious what they did wrong? Didn't mean to come off like I was saying your's was going to do the same thing.

Coated over expansion joint with epoxy, not a smart idea.
Each section of concrete needs to be coated as an individual section, the joint has to remain clean and free of epoxy and sand. The expansion joint is then filled and the slab can move without flexing the floor system. About twice as much work, but now the expansion and contraction is only with the proper material.

Nice Zeke. Put that barn in TN and call me, I will bring you the money!!
I got a PM from the OP. I don't think he is happy with the levity of the shed>deck>barn.

He wants to know what my 'house' has to do with his hangar. Wish that was my house.

Sorry, bud. We didn't mean to rain on your parade. For what it's worth, very fine job and looks wonderful.

I did not say I was unhappy, not sure where you got that. I said "Hello" was looking for the connection is all.

the stripes look great. did you epoxy them or use commercial floor tape?

i am looking at using this stuff http://stop-painting.com/floortape/superiormark.asp

tom

Paint with clear, never had much luck with tape, the link you provide is the "good" stuff, at a cost of $1.54 per foot a little steep for me. The only problem that I have found with tape is it cuts easily and then starts to ravel.

:evil:That looks a lot like My old office, only smaller.
There are now six of these hangers on site, of varying sizes.

As with all concrete, the issue with any covering coming off is probably cause by MVE. Moisture Vapor Emission. The extra 17 gals of Free Water in the mix design has to come out of the concrete before you can properly (without concern), coat your slab. This, of course is un-enhanced concrete. If you use Vapor Lock Enhanced Concrete all moisture issues go away. SPG will warranty for 5 years on commercial projects against any failures caused by MVE. Checkout the website spggogreen.com
