The part of my house appears to have a brick veneer over a poured concrete basement foundation wall. How do you feel about hanging a small mini split condenser on it. I like the ideal of wall hanging since that side of the house is on a slope and I am concerned about erosion.

Not sure I would trust veneer although my wall anchors only go through the outside row of bricks.

I’d through bolt it or be sure to find the studs behind the brick.

He says there's poured concrete behind. A sufficiently long wedge anchor will hold.

I like wall hung mini-split condensers. It is easier to keep the snakes out of them and they are cleaner. As well in the heat mode during defrost they can drain better. Yes, get through the veneer into the foundation or once you are drilling the concrete, thru bolt it.

Well, my unit came in. It’s only a 9k unit and the condenser is only 50lbs. So, may not be too big an issue hanging on brick. They told me I should be okay hanging on brick using wedge anchors that come with the bracket.

You aren't hanging it on brick though, it is just veneer. If it was real brick, sure, no problem. But I would be careful. Might be fine, would **** if it is not
