I have an AC motor that i've been limping along for some time. Universal Electric Co. JA2M194N I've disassembled it, cleaned the bushings, etc. but the bushings are just at the end of life. The motor is a 1500RPM 3.3" motor with a 2.25" exposed 5/16" shaft and it spins (Clockwise shaft end (CWSE) I need studs on the shaft side to secure it to its mounting fan shroud which secures it to the housing. This motor (and wires) are exposed and the OE motor has 3/8" flexible conduit as part of the housing to protect the wires. Every motor I've found only has the wires coming out of the motor housing so I have no way to shield them. I'm trying to stay up to code given this are HV wires but I cannot see a way to legally protect these wires. The motors I've found are a D602 and D124 from a company (Universal Electric Motors) that I had inadvertently thought was Universal Electric Co (Maker of the motor). These are both 1/4" shaft motors but I "could" sleeve it if need be or find a 1/4" fan that'd work. They've been very helpful but nothing exact has some up for me. The furnace is made by Modine but the part is unavailable according to their website. Any suggestions on how to either obtain the correct motor OR find a way to shield these wires to code if I go w/ one of these other motors that has no provisions for any conduit would be appreciated.
I did find this but the are saying it pulls 2.4A vs. this one drawing .5A which is find odd.
