Hanging Mr. Heater Big Maxx Heater

I'm planning on installing my heater next week. I'm plan to mount it in the corner at a 45° angle to be aimed at the far corner next to my overhead door. I'm going to mount three pieces of Unistrut to the ceiling, using 1/2" threaded rod and supporting it with some 2x4 or 2x6s laying on top of the bottom truss chords. Mount the Unistrut tight to my ceiling tin. Then plan to use 3/8" threaded rod to hang the heater from the Unistrut. Since I'm mounting it at a 45° angle, the middle piece of Unistrut will have two 3/8" threaded rods for opposite corners of the heater and then the other two Unistrut pieces will have one 3/8" each for the opposite corners. See attached image.

The reason I'm using the Unistrut is so I can slide the heater around to get my vent pipe to line up with the ribbing on my tin. I know it's probably an extra step, but I want my vent pipe to come out centered on the tin ribbing.

Anyone see an issue with this? I'm assuming 3/8" rod is plenty to support the heater?

Thanks!

Is there a room over garage? If so consider vibration dampers instead of only threaded rod.

No room above the shop, just attic space. I was considering getting some rubber washers/spacers to add just to help quiet it down.

Thats pretty much how mine is mounted. The 3/8 rod is fine for mounting and you really don't need three pieces of unistrut. Mine runs through the plaster ceiling and attaches to two pieces of unistrut on the topside floor.
You shouldn't need the insulators. If the heater is not defetive it runs with no real vibration.

I just attached mine to (2) 2x4 scraps on the attic floor that I had laying around, cheaper than the unistrut if you don't already have it.

I did virtually the same thing, but just used two struts above and below the ceiling and trusses:

It has worked out well.
No vibration, very solid.

Got the heater all mounted. It worked pretty much as planned. Got it vented, wired, gas line plumbed and thermostat hooked up. Fired it up and she lit right up. I was very surprised at how quiet it runs. No rattling or vibration at all...hardly knew it was running.

My garage is 2400 sq ft but I really only want/need to heat half of it. Not sure how I could partition it off. But the spray foam is still the way to go apparently. $9000 for walls and roof though. But sealed up nice & tight! Gas co quoted me $3500 to install a reznor heater. It's about a $1300 unit. This price includes everything, chimney, 100gal propane tank etc etc.
