How do you guys hang your pliers on pegboard?

I build a new workbench and I have pegboard that I hang my tools on. Mostly the go-to stuff that I'm always using. Tool boxes for the other stuff. What's the best gadget to hang pliers with? I've used a couple of methods and have not been happy with it. Either they are too loose or every time I grab them. The hooks are coming out of the pegboard.

Taking suggestions.

Pegboard? You need a 3D printer my friend! Check out Multiboard or Skadis (from Ikea). I dislike pegboard due to the fact that when you remove something, it almost always falls out. I never put pliers on my pegboard when I had it. They just never stayed put.

Good idea except, buy a 3D printer to make some $0.89 hooks? Not happening. To run a 3D printer don't I need to know CAD?

The fact that the hooks always fall out is the problem I'm trying to solve. On my old pegboard, I taped the wire hooks down. Looking for something more "elegant" and solid.

I'd try to find something with one hole for one leg of the pliers. A lot easier to pull out the one leg that the whole pliers.

Tried pegboard for tools once and bought a tool chest instead. Use the wall to put short shelves up that don't get in the way. Much easier to work with for me than trying to hang things on pegboard.

I have the multi hole holder usually shown holding screwdrivers. I have glued all the hooks to the pegboard with thick silicone glue, or you could use hot glue. I then poke one leg of my pliers through the hole. The majority of my pliers collection is in a drawer.

Just like Levaughn’s photos below

I've struggled with the same issue - haven't found a solution that works for me yet. Leaning towards either a drawer setup or one of the 3D printed options. And no, you don't need to know CAD to 3D print - it helps if you want to fine tune something or create your own, but there are plenty of models out there for free.

I have the POS wire hooks for pliers shown above. The fell out for years until I used a hot glue gun in the holes to secure them. Problem solved.

Yes, 99% of my pliers are in a drawer, but I have basic pliers and screwdrivers on pegboard at each workbench to keep from walking 10-30 ft to get them.

I got frustrated with trying to use pegboard efficiently and without hooks/hangers falling out. Instead, I use plywood and drywall or trim screws to support whatever I want to hang.

Linesman pliers don't belong anywhere but in your back pocket.
Handles down. One handle in the pocket, the other hanging free.

DuraHooks are your friend. They never fall out… ever.

Under tool holders, I use the 72100 for pliers and it works great.

Looks great! But I must admit that I cheat, my tool chests are within easy reach 100% of the time from my workbench. That is cheating, right? But I get it, having tools within reach. Who wants to walk 10' to get a tool.

+2 on Levaugn's multi loop hangers. The weight of the pliers in the other 5 holes holds the hanger in position when you grab one plier. The same hanger also holds screw drivers well so, if you don't have exactly 6 pliers, mix in screw drivers. For small screw drivers I wrapped the bottom loop w/ duct tape. Punched a hole through the tape so the driver part would slip through but not the larger diameter handle. I have 3 of the six loop hangers at my gun bench. I agree that the small single straight or 'J' hooks do ****. The better version has the extra piece that fits into one hole below. Then a double layer of your favorite tape across the vertical part of the hook keeps them from falling when you grab a tool.

I keep these flush cuts handy on the pegboard with a Talon Hook.
All my other pliers are in my tool box under the main bench

Talon Hooks are excellent on pegboard and have been my favorites for many years.

Has anyone used Wall Control pegboard and accessories? They looks to have solved the hooks fall out problem, and the pegboard is metal so the holes don't wear out.

We have pliers on peg hooks at work and they always look messy or keep falling off. I prefer mine in a drawer. If you like them on a pegboard you could always make or buy a better hanger and mount that to the pegboard.

My Milwaukee tool box/work bench has a vertical back on it with a metal peg board and I use that same hangers shown on the right above for pliers and scissors. In fact, I can get 2 pairs of pliers in one of those things by inserting them the head up and inserting only one side into the holder. Those holders can fit loosely in some peg boards and may not work well because they will sometimes come out when you grab your pliers. I added a regular peg board to the back of the built in one on the Milwaukee and the various holders seem to stay in better.

Above one of my benches I installed Gladiator Gear Wall Panels and bought a variety of their hooks and hangers. They work well but it costs a lot more.

I hang my pliers behind the screwdrivers, which for me the screwdrivers would be in the circular holders where you have the T handles. Make those holders do double duty. I do not like the holders where you have the screwdrivers, as I inadvertently always knock them off.

Roert, where did you buy these?

Thanks
That's a 3 piece set offered by a few different places, other than a the different lengths, nothing really different than the standard length magnetic strips at HF.

They used to be "free" with a coupon & purchase. Now they are like $4-5, just wait till you spot them on sale and buy half dozen of them.
