They're perfectly fine as long as you overlook that it is not humanly possible to remove the pliers and leave the hook behind.
The pegs i used to have had the hook insert part and it had a welded peg that fit tight into the hole below.
They never fell or pulled out. When we moved I left them in the pegboard and figured I'd just buy new ones.
Couldn't find any like them went to several places.
So I settled for just the single hook with no peg to capture it .
Freaking junk. Ive hated pegboard ever since.
I don't like the plastic clips either,

I like the magnets - I have been using a tray that fits to pegboard - these are those recently used. When I get around to it they'll get put in the drawer leaving only those that get used all the time out ... but in the meantime20260221_145552.jpg

I have way too many plyers for a peg board. So many that they over filled a 16"x30" tool box drawer. A few weeks ago I found a great solution. I got an old cookie pan from my wife and used it to make a second level of plyers in the tool box drawer. I just keep the odd ball ones in the drawer bottom and the ones I use more often in the cookie pan on top.

I’m late to the party thread . I hope this is still helpful.

I have a screwdriver rack (bottom left of the picture) that does double duty with pliers and I also use standard pegs with plastic holders so they don’t move (as much).

Some of the pegs are longer and hold 2-3 pliers. IMG_5958.jpeg

Some pegs even with plastic retaining clips aren’t strong in their holes, but for the most part.. everything stays in place. I use a right angle hook to loosen the plastic clips when I inevitably want to add or move another peg.
