Hanging signs from ceiling or from trusses

I collect old gas station related signs. I would like to hang them from the ceiling or trusses in my new pole building.

Anyone have any experience with this? I am worried about the potential weight load on the bottom of the truss.

Thoughts?

Check, if you can, with the truss manufacture. They should be able to tell you the load rating on the bottom cord. Some are designed to support a ceiling, i.e. sheeting or sheetrock. If you have no ceiling, that load potential would be still available.

How big are these signs?

Dont exceed the load rating of your truss. Use some common sense too.
