Picked up a C10 tailgate to hang as wall art in my garage and looking for mounting ideas.

Its not going to a be a bench or anything, just needs to hang there.

Sounds like a simple bracket fabrication project, I'd suggest minimizing the additional appearance of the bracket, to the extent possible. If it's a partition wall, hit a stud for each point of attachment, I like Spax fasteners.

I'll soon have a cool tailgate of my own, as I will be retiring this one, the bottom portion. I really don't have anywhere to hang it, for a wall display, my 2-car garage/workshop is very full.

Any bolts on the side that will face the wall? If so just attach some bracket to that.

Just did this this weekend with my old CJ7 tailgate. I just whipped up two simple angles out of some aluminum stock I had here. The angles are secured to the wall with the legs facing in, then the tailgate goes up to hide them. The tailgate is secured to the angles from either side.

Not exactly tailgates, but I used bolts, hooks and a bit of chain to hang my race trucks old bed sides and power wagon grill on the wall in my shop.
