Hannay Reels

Has anyone ever purchased a hose reel from this outfit? they are American made and appear to be well made but they are not cheap. If anyone has some input I would appreciate hearing from you.

Hannay is an old time company that makes primarily reels for commercial applications. It would be safe to say that just about every fuel delivery truck in service today has a Hannay reel mounted on it. You could call it the Rolls Royce of reels. They are also used on fire service equipment around the world.

Definitely well made stuff... the only hard decision to be made is spending the money for them. After that, you will be happy.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm going to pull the trigger and make the purchase. The GH-1100 is on sale and with free delivery and no tax they helps a lot.

Hannay makes great reels for fuel oil peddle trucks, you'll see them all over the place in Maine

I work for a utility equipment manufacturer. This is a very popular brand on the trucks we build. They are typically guy wire, cable or welding reels, though.
