Hey all, found some pics of my garage/shop. Some things have changes but for the most part, this is it. As you can see, I do a little of everything, but mostly I'm a gunsmith.

I use the one car side of my 3 car garage as my shop, with some spill over. Here's the closest thing I have to an "overall" shot of the shop, but it's mostly just my Rockwell 21-100 mill.

Here's one of two Atlas TF42 lathes (24" between centers) with the original stand. It's equipped with a Western Aircraft "New All" quick change gear box...I just LOVE this lathe! And yes that's the cheapie POS Harbor Freight tool chest behind it. I use it to hold lathe tooling

Here's my ZZR-1200 in surgery. My cheapie plywood motorcycle bench, and you can see my Jet 13R drill press in the background that sits atop an old Craftsman 3 drawer (gray & red) lower chest.

Here's my clever (for me at least) hammer rack that I've integrated into the motorcycle bench. Some really good hammers, some really cheap hammers.

Here's the newly assembled blast cabinet already becoming a catch all for whatever my boy doesn't want to hold in his hand.

Here's a project, a late '40's / early '50's Delta 14" band saw. Just need paint, she's in great shape otherwise.

Here the gunsmithing bench next to the window for natural lighting.

nice place,

love the mill and lathe,

bike work bench is good also

Thanks sir...Yeah I've really fallen in love with both. They're both very good quality. They're small enough that they don't consume the entire garage, yet everything I need is there. Since I'm a gunsmith most things I do are small, so no need to have a huge Bridgeport taking up 1/3 of the entire shop.

Here's my two blues...

Record for when I need a tough vise. Got this as a gift from a friend 25 years ago, fantastic vise. 20 year old Craftsman compressor in the background, that has been a great little compressor.

So believe it or not, the Chinese Wilton is actually my favorite vise. Yeah it's sacreligious to have a Wilton made in China, but I bought the vise, not the name on the side. Since gunsmithing doesn't require a really tough vise, I just like all the flexibility of being able to rotate it 360 degrees. Custom made lead soft jaws for gunsmithing. (Browning Hi Power slide in the vise)

you may want to PM a Mod and ask if they can move this to the garage Gallery Section,

love your avatar also,

though with your username would have thought there be a pic of the Falcon instead of Vader.

though I still use Darth Vader when talking to school kids each year for Fire Prevention week,

We due the Breathing stuff before I have a Fire Fighter suit up and turn on the SCBA so as not to spook the little kids.

ok random babble on my part.

what happen to require surgery on the bike?
sorry back to looking at your great pics!!!
