This is my first post here but ive been lurking for a while and trying to read everything i can on metal and pole barn buildings. Me and my family are getting ready to move into a new to us house on 3 acres in N.E. Arkansas. I would like to build a 40x60 shop on the property and was wondering if anyone had dealt with Hansen buildings and what there opinions of them are.

Never heard of them. In case you don't use them, stay away from Heartland steel buildings out of Tulsa or anyone who buys from Nucor Building Systems.

Hansen buildings is an online place i'm not sure where they are out of. Me and my dad will most likely be putting the building up and having someone else do the concrete and electrical work. My brother in law actually works for nucor steel not the building systems part but the mill that makes i beams. I asked him him if he could get me a discount on one of there buildings. He told me to check out the hansen website.

Their home office is on the Minnesota/South Dakota border, but they ship from various regional suppliers around the country. From their website:

Where in the world is Browns Valley, Minnesota?

This is probably one of the most frequently asked questions by our customers. Here's a little geography lesson for you: Browns Valley is 90 miles south of Fargo, ND, or 200 miles west of Minneapolis, MN. In fact, if you put North America on a dartboard and threw a "bulls-eye", you'd probably hit...Browns Valley! Specifically, Hansen Pole Buildings is located on the SD side of Lake Traverse. Yes, the office is really in the state of South Dakota. Like many other border towns, our mail comes from the nearest post office, which just happens to be six miles away in Minnesota. Most of the materials are shipped from regional suppliers all across North America, putting our home office in the perfect place..in the building.
