sporty_drew - I'd really like to sell them in one lot, but if we do decide to piece them out, you will be first on the list.

Okay, if anything maybe we could work something out for the black and blue 3/8" and 1/2" and the Red and Grey 1/2". I'd buy them all if I didn't already have 12 myself.

pics or it didn't happen :bounce:

I'm going to order extra clips and mounts today since they didn't have any in the store.

Hoping to turn this into something a little more organized.

Anyone else have a similar problem?

Nope, not any more! I just got my order in last night and the pegs are now all filled, at least for my chrome sockets. I really like having these trays. My sockets have never been so organized and I like how I can take the try/s out of my main box and drop them into my cart or carry them alone.

Saw off the sizes you won't use. It saves some room in the toolbox, and great for OCD folks like myself (and 99% of you crazies in here) who go nuts over missing sockets. I'm never going to use a 5/8" 1/4" drive socket.

(sorry for the blurry pics)

I have a couple sets on the hansen organizers and they're great for grabbing sockets quickly, but they cannot completely replace regular rails.

If youre so OCD why are the sockets on the rails upside down haha

I dont see the problem with socket rails, its all ive used since I was a youngster. I can grab a set of sockets without having to worry about not tipping it over and go out in the yard and do something, or on the road. I say f those hansen trays and there expensiveness too!

Mr Ratchet- what brand did you use to finish your sets?

Armstrong.

Most of my sockets are older CM's with a couple Blue Points and two dozen or so of the Armstrongs. The Armstrong and CM's are the same except their markings are a little different. I got the Armstrong's through my cousin in law at a cheaper price than new CM's.

Ues what you like. I don't care for most of the crappy rails out there. Some of the ones like Ernst are pretty nice but, I still like the Hansen trays better. I can just grab on Hansen and have both deep and shallow right there instead of searching for two crappy rails.

Those are the ones I've been looking at also. Nice deal on the discount.

Me too, if you drop one of those plastic trays and spill the sockets It would annoy me too much.

I have the Snap-On steel rails riveted to sheet metal with a tote handle x 2

I like the magnetic mechanics time saver holders for my 1/4 drive and my screwdriver bits.

I have one of those magnetic ones in my road chest, for my random sockets that arent in a set, though Ive also made my own sets of other random sockets and adapters, it has been great not looking for a universal or something in a pile of loose sockets, sometimes the best sets are the ones you make! :D

I can only speak for myself but i use them for organization in the box or cart. I wouldnt ever use them to transport sockets accross my yard. They arent meant for that either. As to cost, thats cheap organization compared to what the truck brand sockets cost to fill them.

Hansens are too rich for my blood. The HF equivalents are on sale right now, as if they weren't cheap enough to begin with. I use them for staging - if I fill one, they get moved to their own rack.

I need a bigger toolbox.

I bought some of the Hansen trays yesterday and couldn't wait to get home to egress my beloved sockets from their rails and land them in their new trays. Of course i just had to stand those sockets up in my newly acquired KRL7022! The problem is that I am missing many sockets on each end of the tray. This really bothers me so I now have the motivation (as if I needed it) to fill in those missing sockets. I know i will probably never use those sockets, but I just can't stand to see the unfilled posts in the Hansen Trays!

Anyone else have a similar problem?
absolutely. This plus the 1/2 rails had a couple missing sizes can't remember off top of my head but larger sockets like 1 3/16 and 20 or 21 maybe. These reasons pissed me off so I went to rails so I dont have to see gaps and have sockets w/o a peg for them
