Picked up some princess auto "Hansen" Style Trays and my 1/2 inch impact sockets are too wide to fit the post spacing. The deeps fit perfect, the shallow are too wide. The impact sockets are mastercraft btw... regular chrome 1/2 inch fit fine.

Does anyone know a brand of these trays that are impact friendly. It was a hard decision to make the transition to this type of storage given some OCD on the empty posts, now I want to see it through....

I had no problem with Kobalt SAEs in an honest-to-God Hansen tray, shallow and deep.

I have a set of Sears hansen trays and they work fine with my 1/2" harbor freight impact sockets, deep and shallow.

I have a set of Sears Hanson trays and they hold Mastercraft chrome and impact no problem. You can check out some of the pictures in my garage build thread.

Sometimes you just gotta get the real thing if you wanna have it work right.

The ones they sell at Menards under the "Tool Shop" brand fit my impacts perfectly. They sell the same ones at Harbor Freight cheap!

I have the Harbor Freight trays and Husky impacts fit in them just fine. There are some other brands of impacts I have mixed in as well and they all fit.

I have HF socket trays, with a mix of SO, GP, Kobalt and Gearwrench impact sockets over all 3 drive sizes. My only complaint is the 1/4 set: the 9/16 doesn't fit because they messed up the socket spacing on just that size. Never tried "Hansen" brand, I'm too cheap, especially for a piece of plastic.

I got the same 1/2 trays, but am using the powerfist impact sockets and they fit fine.

I've never heard of Powerfist sockets, I kinda think it might be a joke, but that could either be the very best tool manufacturer name, or the very worst. I can't decide which. :bounce:

Nice! I can totally hear monster truck announcer guy doing voice advertising for Powerfist. "It's torque gone wild!"
