IBesides, who really uses a 1" in a 3/8dr??

I thought the same thing until I used an Irwin dye the other day to rethread a deck hanger bracket on a lawn tractor. Stubby 3/8 ratchet worked perfect. And I don't have a 1/2 stubby. Then I would have to use a 1/4 ratchet with an upsizer.

The empty spots don't really bother me. If I've gone this long without the socket...

It does give me something to look for when I'm at the flea market though. I just carry an updated pic of my trays on my smart phone and look for good 6pt sockets to fill the empty spots when I see a guy with a box of random sockets. Last week I got 3 USA C-man and a Snap-On for $3 to fill 4 of the gaps.
