My honey and my son gave me a Hobart Handler 140 today.

Just what I wanted!!

Now I guess I need to learn how to weld.

Anyway, if you want to "learn" the basics of welding go to youtube and type in welding tips and tricks. Watch as many vids as you can regarding mig welding and report back. This guy knows his stuff and has probably the best instructional vids out there. You'll be running beads in no time.

Did you also get a bottle of shielding gas along with the welder? Nothing says "I love you" more than a fresh new bottle of shielding gas.

A welder is one of those things that's totally worthless untill you need to stick two pieces of steel together. Lol.
