Just wanted to throw in my 2 cents,

I purchased a 45k propane Mr. Heater, installed with my son, 24x 24 garage 10ft cieling, well insulated garage. On my second week with a 100lb tank so far. Its cold here in tne North, with -21 to -30 deg. C. keep the thermostat at 11deg, C.

Nice to have everything in the garage warm. Tools, equipment, bikes are all the same temp give or take and it only takes a short time to bring the temp up to 20 deg, to work in a t-shirt. Whole thing cost about $1200.00 cdn and well worth it.

Some have noisy fans, mine is not bad at all.

Cheers

Smitty

I really like my mr heater as well and yes some do have noisy fans, especially the pre-ignition blower. I called mr heater about it and they sent me a new one with the gaskets to change it out, I haven't changed it yet, figure I may as well as use it and it gets quiter as the heater warms up. The replacement blower they sent me had a wobbly fan assembly as well. The squirrel cage is aluminum and slides onto the motor shaft with a set screw and that cage was not true so I worked with it to true it up and I am sure that is all that is wrong with the blower inside the furnace. This spring I will change it out to see if my hunch is right. Other than that, I really like mine. Here in Northern Ohio it is cold and I have gotten 2 weeks out of 40lb bottle of propane with my t-stat set at 48* unless I am working on something.
