It was on a flyer I got in my bag a few days ago. There were like 4 of them - Veteran's Day, Customer Appreciation Day, Pre-Thanksgiving Sale and After Thanksgiving sale. I can't imagine how cheap HF stuff would be if they didn't print all of those flyers. :)

I bought two of the 13 drawer rollers and one of the big red carts. I really like the red cart. I keep telling myself I don't need another cart but at that price they are a steal!

Everywhere I looked, it kept listing the price as $159. Finally found a scan of the price at $149.

Definitely have to pick one of those up at that price - maybe two?

Aren't the black ones only $100? I think it has a lesser weight rating though. I'm thinking of grabbing 1 or 2 of the black ones.

I think Im going to add a side cabinet to mine soon. For $160 it doesn't seem like a bad deal. Hopefully the quality is as good as the roller cabinet.

yep.. I am thinking i might just order one for xmas.

I usually get a 10% off coupon from HomeDepot around this time of year. And.... for anyone who is tight on cash, HomeDepot often has no interest payments.

These are $299 in store, with a matching top chest for $199. I did not and would not buy either.

The construction of the bottom cabinet is essentially two 26" cabinets side by side, sitting in a frame that joins them with a single full-width drawer across the top. Notice that there are three separate lock cylinders on that one cabinet. The whole assembly is very flexible. The full width drawer at full extension can be wobbled back and forth with one finger. And on top of that, the full width drawer has "dividers" in it, which are actually just sheet metal sections intended to give it stiffness, which renders it pretty useless as a full width drawer, since it's only full width for less than half its depth.

The top box, while more nicely constructed, has no full width drawers.

For $500, I looked carefully at this combo before passing on it. I have maxed out my four current tool chests (basically a 41" top/bottom combo that includes 5 full width drawers and a fairly standard 26" top/bottom combo) and would like to consolidate and add space. This combo at Home Depot had very little utility for me since it is effectively just a bunch of 26" drawers living in the same zip code, and that wouldn't have solved anything.

I called my HF store today about the 90320 13 drawer tool box. They said after 11-8 discount coupons will not apply to tool boxes.

Honestly sounds like who ever you talked to didn't have a clue. The day coupons stop applying is the day their sales take a drastic hit. Just saying! :)

That may be difficult considering that my local paper has been having HF coupons every week and the most recent ones are good until February 2011. Nothing on them about not applying to tool boxes.

Going there tomorrow and verify with the manager. I think it was the manager that told me. I did see a coupon today that said Cambell-Hausfield items were excluded.

HF is changing their coupon policy's pretty soon. I've heard some of the new ones have small print like "not valid at parking lot sales, etc.." and the free flashlights are starting to have $19.99 minimum purchases. So they're definitely cracking down a bit.

If theres some big thing you want and to use a 20% on.. You might want to go for it sooner rather than later.

Ive thought about applying there as well.. but man, it looks like a tough job. Our store gets pretty crazy busy too. I'd definitely buy everything you want quickly after you start working to take advantage of the discount in case the job isn't right for you.
Maybe doing it part-time wouldn't be so bad.

Keep in mind that even without coupons, HF prices are about the cheapest around. It's really insane that the coupons have been around as long as they have. I guess HF just wanted to make sure they got everyone hooked on coming in before they wean us off the coupons.

There's been rumors for a long time that the 20% coupons were going away, but every magazine I pick up has one in it.

I can't say I'm surprised that the coupons may be getting cut back. Used to be that you'd get a 20% coupon every couple months - whole threads were devoted on where to find them. They have had one in the local Sunday paper every week for months now - along with a free flashlight coupon.

So here's an idea - just cut back on the coupons in the first place!

I went to H F today. Could not confirm H F is cutting back on tool box coupons. The manager was out. I did pick up a 13 drawer box with the 379.00 coupon I copied off the NET. Box was on sale for 499.00. Got the 199.00 7 drawer hang on for 159.00 with the 20% coupon. They also had a return 13 drawer box on the floor[with a bad lock] I bought for 300.00. They had it tagged for 350.00. Not too bad.
These boxes will work fine as I will build a 10 ft. bench around them. I can now remove some of my lesser tools out of my triple bank S O.

Pulled out my stack of coupons from the newspaper this evening. I just throw them in the truck so I have one available when I'm over by the store. I have six coupon pages with end dates ranging from 11/18/10 to 2/28/11.

Five of them only state that they cannot be used on "prior purchases, gift cards, Inside Track Club membership, or extended service plans." Ironically, only the last one - that expires 2/28/11 - says all that and adds that the 20% coupon cannot be used on "Campbell Hausfeld products, open box items, Parking Lot Sale items, Blowout Sale items, Day After Thanksgiving Sale items, Tent Sale items, or online." So I have five 20% off coupons that do not have those particular disclaimers.

I'm wondering whether I should make a stink about using those five during those sales just out of principle?

I'm also wondering if the wording that the 20% coupon cannot be used "online" means that if you have them match the online price you cannot also add the 20% off coupon to the transaction? I'm guessing that is the case.

Price matching in the store isn't using online though, so they would really be stretching their wording pretty far at that point if they tried to tell you that you could not stack.

But you're price matching the online prices.

Truthfully, I could see their argument because you are already saving on shipping by buying in the store. For example, the 5-drawer service cart they want $90 to truck ship it to me if I buy it online. So, when the cart was recently on sale for $199 in the store or $149 online, it looks like I'd save $50 to buy it online. But with shipping I'd end up paying $239 plus tax buying it online. So even the store "sale" price is a better deal at that point. Getting them to match the online discount and eliminating the shipping charges is already hitting them twice, but then to add the 20% discount on top of that? Now you're down to $120 plus tax and are hitting them three times.

I know that people have been doing exactly that. But I can also see why they'd move to eliminate it.

I also have never seen anything written down that specifically states that they'll match online prices in the store, but typically they have done it. I could see the wording being meant to "correct" that policy.

I don't think you will have any problem using those coupons or others.

I stopped by HF yesterday to look at the black 5 drawer vs. the red 5 drawer. No comparison. The metal is definitely thicker for one thing. And when I pulled out the drawer on the red one, it was tight & smooth. On the black one, the whole thing racked and the drawer jammed. When I finally got it pulled all the way out, you could wiggle it side to side about 2" - I'm not sure how it was even staying on the tracks.

I've got a HF flyer with a coupon listing the 13 drawer box for $379 until 11/25, anyone have any luck using a 20% off coupon on top of this?

That was just crappy assemblage by the HF staff. The Black one is great. A lot of GJ guys have bought it and love it. OTH, the red one is larger and more stout. If you are looking for one to bang around or set an engine on it is your best option! :)

DOes it say Super Coupon on the top corner? If so they will not let you use a 20% off.

I got a flyer in teh mail yesterday that had it for $349, flyer in today's paper lists it for $359. Both are coupons which suggests that they CANNOT be used with any additional coupons. Of course this varies by store manager.

What amazes me is the number of part #s HF must have in their system. Every different price point is a different part#, in the last 2 days I've seen 3 different prices on this one item, and that doesn't count the normal $399 "sale price" that we can use the 20% coupon with.
