There are no attachment points from the factory. You would have to come up with something on your own.

couldn't find the coupon on the link. The web site says price is $389. How do I get one for $271?

I could not find the coupon anywhere to get these for 271--my read is that they are on sale for 389. I bought the side cabinet recently and want the base 13 drawer now as the side cabinet works so well but makes my old narrow Craftsman tippy.

I believe someone in the HF coupon thread said there's a new $349 coupon for the 13 drawer cabinet that he found in a magazine. Diesel Power or something like that? I haven't seen it for less than $349 for a long time now.

You are not going to buy one for $271. This thread started 2.5 years ago when HF would accept a 20% coupon on toolboxes. The cheapest I've seen these for a good while now has been $349.

There seemed to be an error tonight. I saw that link on the main forums page and it said 'Today' but when you clicked inside the date of last post was like 2010. WTH? Talking about the one that said HF roller for $271. You see it tonight?

It would appear right now HF has the box on sale for 389.99 and also lists an addition 20% off coupon in store only, bringing the total down to 312 bucks before tax. Im going to take a ganders on Wed. when I get a chance and see what the local store has got :pimpflash

Take close look at the exclusions on the bottom of the coupon. It will say not valid on tool boxes/tool chests/ tool carts.

Re: Harbor Freight 13 drawer tool boxes $349.99

Since this is currently on sale for $389.99 until the end of July 2012, I have decided to buy one but was checking around for coupons and found this forum. (and decided to sign up so I could share the deal that I found)

I did some more checking around and found a coupon for $379.99 at:

With the talk about finding a coupon in a magazine, I checked a few Hot Rod magazines I have lying around and found a coupon for $359.99 (but it expired on 6/14/2012).

I took a trip over to the supermarket and looked through some magazines until I found a coupon for $349.99 in "Diesel World" magazine ($5.99).

The coupon is good for 90320/68784/69387 and doesn't expire until 11/10/2012. The coupon number (from the bar code) is 30164361.

I hope some find this information useful.

RW-7 are your top box's drawers sagging in real life as much as they look like in that photo? How old is that top?

Top is much older than the new bottom. I did notice that the slide brackets are slightly off level causing th drawers on the top left to be and look a little tilted.
Funny thing is I don't notice it in the garage. I sure did after I took that pic though. :eyecrazy:

Does anyone know the OLD part #'s to the side end cabinets in crinkle finish? My bottom and top boxes are crinkle and I want to get either or both the side boxes but want them to match. Im gonna call customer service and see if there is a store *somewhere* that still has these.

The stores around here have been sold out of the crinkle finish for months now. I doubt there will be any new ones anywhere. But the Old 7 drawer side number is 90321

Hi All! I am new to GJ and love it. You guys have so much tips on tools. Thanks you all!

I was at the Garden Grove Calif Harbor Freight Aug. 8th and they have the big DEMO 56" tool box Discounted for $500. NO KEYS, but, all big drawers can be open. It located in the front of their storage room. I spoke with the manager on shift, he told me I can buy for $450 plus tax. Hope it still there for someone who need it.

Good deal, good luck

Getting the box home. How did you guys get it off the pickup? I saw some people use a motor crane... did anyone get 2-3 buddies and get the crate off?

I laid it on its back, still in the crate and slid it off the tailgate to the point it was tipping/balancing. Then slowly lowered it myself to the ground. Wasnt hard at all.

My Dad and I unboxed it on the truck and then picked up off the tailgate and set it on the ground. The second one I used a 2 wheeler on its back with a plank to the ground.

I purchased the new high-gloss version last month, got it for 349+tax thanks to a GJ member here with a coupon

I have a small ditch in the front yard so I put the back wheels of my truck in the low part of the ditch. when the tail gate was let down it almost touches the ground. Used a dolly to get it on the ground. My FIL was helping me.

As others have said mine wobbled on level ground. I figured out which way diagonally it was off using a 4' level, and used some washers on two opposing wheels to get it level. Now it's level and doesn't wobble. I chocked the wheels opposite the side I was working on, then used my 2-ton hydraulic car jack to jack up the side I was working on. Used some wood between the jack and the cabinet to protect it. jacked it up enough to get my impact wrench on the 4 bolts and took the caster off. On my box, I had to use 2 washers on each of the 4 bolts on each caster that needed levelling using a total of 8 washers.

Thanks for the coupon info! Going to look at the 44" this weekend. I've got 4 CM 26" boxes and several top units taking up space in the garage. I'm thinking I can consolidate quite a bit into the hf box, and sell the redundant tools and boxes and pay for the new one :)

The hf box does seem a bit shallow though?

Yeah - you're gonna need a trailer with that. Which brings up a question - does the trailer need it's own flux capacitor or does it work from the car itself? Does that require a 7 pin connection?
I must admit - I'm a little confused on the whole time travel WITH a trailer situation. I may have to ask around on this one....

are they made here in america or just chinese junk that hf sells

I own one of the 44 inch boxes and top I just picked up 2 of the new top and bottms that are 28 inches wide. The top is full depth and the boxes are much better than my Craftman, Husky and Homark. My husky chest has 9 drawers with roller berring glides. I paid $75 for it at a yard sale. It did not have a scratch on it. It is far better than my Craftman with berring glides. My Homark Boxers and chest are not ball berrings but they sure are a thousand times smoother than the Craftsman boxes I have. The HF Box with a 20% coupon can't be beat. I picked them up when they first came out. They had a bigger sale on then. I got thier top of the line service card at half off for $150. It is as good as my frindeds matco and Snap-on. You can't beat the HF boxes. The new 54 inch box is a little light. I am not sure about it but the other ones are as good as they get.

By the way. I have sold several Snap-on boxes and when I took the drawers out one of them had a made in China sticker on the inside of the box.

I bought them for Christmas presents. I am gong to keep them and give my C mans to the grand kids.

Are there ever any coupons for the top chest that bring it down lower than the $299 it is right now?

If not, the drawer volume seems to be about 50% more than the top cabinet so I'm considering mounting a second bottom chest to the top of my current bottom chest with steel and bolts.

I'm super curious about how this would work.

Done and stacked.

I finally made it to harbor freight to check one of these out. these are very well made boxes for the price. it seems to be better made than my craftsman. Not as good but close to my snap on box I have at work.

I would like to buy either a top box to put ontop of my work bench or a bottom box to roll around.
not sure what I will do but these are very good boxes.
