Not sure if this should be in this subforum but I would like the most amount of members to see it. If you're looking for a scissor lift, with the current 25% off coupon, you can get the Central Hydraulics one for $1349.99 as opposed to $1799.99. This is before tax and shipping but still a phenomenal deal.

I've owned this lift for over 8 years and it has been great. Don't have any complaints about it.

Can a moderator change the title to "Harbor Freight Scissor Lift - $1349.99 W/Coupon"?
Not sure how I missed it.

This is funny, I was just wondering to myself the other day whether or not HF still sells this lift.

I too have had this lift for 6 years and have used it a bunch. It's really, really beefy.

I have had two problems with it:

1) The hydraulic fluid tank randomly developed a crack and leaked fluid all over the garage floor out of the blue. I fixed the tank with a plastic welder but even that was sort of annoying to have to do. You can order a new one from HF but it was something absolutely ridiculous as far as a shipping time, something like four or five months if I remember correctly.

2) The actual switch started to get finicky eventually and I replaced it with one from HD.

I figured this thing would be a bit cheaper still. When I bought, I think it was right at $1200 (Christmas sale). Then I was able to double up with a coupon, AND at the time my Discover card was doing some promo with Harbor Freight (cash back) so I got this thing for something like ~$800 all said and done - just an incredible deal.

Building ramps for it is pretty much a given though unless you're only dealing with trucks/SUVs/etc.

Nice price with the coupon. Has anyone used it with an air-cooled classic beetle/bug? It would make my life a lot easier with the 67 beetle.

Well ****, that's exactly what I use it for.

Currently a 1984 Puma GTC is sitting on it. Just got done with an engine reseal on a '66 Bug. My '71 Super spent last summer on it

It works perfectly for them, specially with the engine in the back.

I use my Chinese no-name lift (7 years now) for Classic Minis - they only weigh 1300lbs so I figure that's a big safety margin! :D

I have had the wife's Allroad on there too and it works a treat!

This was one of the best things I ever bought for my shop.....saves my back every day I use it.

I forgot HF has a credit card now. Wonder if they offer 0% for a limited amount of time.

Been looking at this also for VW and other cars. Just can’t believe there’s two Pumas in Ohio

Pics of some VW-based cars I've collected. None should strain that lift.

I thought about that mid rise lift a lot for my 67. I ended up not buying it. I think I will get a 4 post that I can just raise up, park the 67 underneath normally and not have to deal with any clearance issues.
