Harbor Freight 18" Side Locker Door Fix

Something that has annoyed me slightly is I always had to lock the door on the side locker as it would open the door if I had bumped in to the tool chest. Since I do not lock the cabinets. Well today I decided to do something about it and I was getting a extra key cut for my Dodge Ram pickup I took the lock off the locker and took it with me.

The total cost of the modification was $6.50 for the cam lock and now the door stays shut. The locksmith had key lockable cam locks but I do not really need it as my tools are in my garage and I am the only one in the garage.

I just got one and it stays shut with a magnet. My problem is it leans out and I have to have a small spacer between my cabinet and the locker to make it level. I need to drill holes in the side too so I can bolt it to my box because I don't want to rely on just the lip and a couple of crappy welds keeping it on.

At the handle area there are holes predrilled into the locker. You should have the hardware that came with the locker to fasten the side locker to rolling toolbox

I saw that but they don't line up with my box. I have a snap on KRL761.

That is how I did mine . works great.
