ndnchf - could you post some close up pics showing how you routed the cable in the winch? Would like to do this with mine; understand you have to either cut the cable or route out from the center.

It's pretty simple. I used a $20 Harbor Freight winch, pulleys from tru-value and a few odds and ends.
