Harbor Freight 30 Gallon truck bed compressor

Hi all.

HF has a 30 gallon, gas powered truck bed compressor that can supposedly put out 18 CFM:

That’s attractive to me for my auto project that will require sandblasting and painting.

Anyone have experience with this unit for auto spraying and sandblasting?

I have one, it's just OK. The vent lines and fuels lines rot pretty quick, the air cleaner lid is not water tight so water gets in carb. The flywheel vibrates alot and has destroyed my diesel transfer tank because it vibrates the hell out of everything. Overall, much better than my previous hotdog style but I don't think I would buy it again.

Can it be used for sand blasting and auto painting? Not commercial, just project work.
