Harbor Freight 30% off lists

Looks like a fair number here look forward to the Harbor Freight 30% off sales. Just curious what folks buy and if they keep running lists waiting for the next sale? I usually stock up on some drill bits, blades, chip brushes, grinding wheels. Thinking of trying to keep a running list so I can plan my future purchases.

1/2 In. Horsehair Bristle Acid Shop Brushes, 36 Pc. - good for applying grease on terminals, brake jobs, etc
Nitrile Coated Nylon Work Gloves Large - good for light mechanic work (i.e. rotating tires, reassembly, etc)

Where do the 30% codes come from?

I have gotten 1x30 sanding belts, buffing wheels, orbital polishing and buffing pads(honestly I would just get on Amazon), o-ring kits, Ruger wash or assortments, snap ring kits, web slings, automotive push pin pliers. Some of this stuff was a year or two ago.

From HF. I usually see someone mention the coupon here or slick deals. The code expired on the 24th I believe.

Currently, I've been stocking up on clamps when the 30% off coupons come in. Just used my 30% of 5 items under $10 each, and bought 5 more 36" bar clamps for the wood working shop.

Usually stock up on consumables. Super glue, brushes, and gloves.

Also have stocked up on Bremen locking pliers for welding. Foot pedal switches, storage organization, casters misc random stuff I hate buying and paying full price for lol

This last round of coupons I picked up a pair of body pin pliers, car battery terminal brushes and some quick release air hammer chucks. All stuff I didn’t have - the pliers and chuck already came in handy.

I get all their emails and check www.hfqpdb.com anytime I need something – I haven't seen a true store-wide 30% coupon in a long time. On the rare occasion they do have one, it's very limited. Either for club-members only or only for specific (upscale) 'brands' like Bauer or Hercules.

I think the good old days of Harbor Freight coupons may be gone for good.

No, people keep posting that, but they keep sending coupons. HF still sends coupons, no indication they have any plans to stop.

I suspect this was a rumor started by a particular video source to create controversy and drive traffic to his site, which creates revenue for him. That sources seems to be the origin of the rumor.

90% of coupons are gone. There used to be many free item coupons, % off coupons and item-specific coupons. But not anymore. So yes, there is truth to HF "doing away with coupons." There are still some random % off coupons that come out but nothing like before.

HFQPDB (http://www.hfqpdb.com/browse) was my go to source. Now it's pretty much useless.
