Hello guys,

I have this central pneumatic 40lb sand blast cabinet that is sold by Harbor

Freight, I know these are not the best by any means but it was enough for

my needs.

Harbor Freight customer service is so useless and inefficient with

their own products that I don´t know who to turn to for some help.

Maybe somebody in this forum could point me in the right direction.

Basically I need to replace the hose that runs air pressure to the sand pistol

inside the cabinet, mine wore out from high pressure and constant use and it

began to leak air pressure from one side, making it ineffective.

I have attached some pictures so you can get a better idea of the issue.

I did run to my local Home Depot but the hose i found there for some reason

would not transfer the air pressure well, and the pistol had little power to

shot the sand. :headscrat

Thanks in advance,

Regards,

it is just a regular air hose. you can remove the barb and install a quick coupling or you can buy bulk air hose or like I do I use old air hoses that have cracked near the fitting.
sand blaster air hoses take a bit of a beating so I use my old ones there. if you use a new hose you may want to slip a larger cheap hose over it for a little protecting

youtube some videos on harbor freight cabinet upgrades. I just converted mine to a foot pedal control and a better gun. Works 10 times better, no finger fatigue and no clogging anymore.

I was looking at 3´8 inches hoses they seem wider than the one I pulled from the machine, also the the fitting inside is different not a 1/4" all the hoses come with end fitting, don´t they sell them plain? without the end attachment?

Thank you all for the help.

there is things called cutters for removing fitting.
Also measure the fitting it might be metric as most of the **** is.
The other thing is measure solves many issues. Seem wider is not a good dimension 10mm 9.5mm 3/32 5/16 that will help you straight out.

I did the same thing when I got mine. I paid more for the upgrade than I did for the whole cabinet.
Tacoma company was the name. Couldn't find much online besides a YouTube video or two, but the man on the phone knew every single thing there was to this cabinet and had multiple levels of upgrades for it. Different guns, block off panels for the inside so all the abrasive didn't get sucked out, free helpful tips like reversing all the bolts on the hopper and cabinet so the abrasive slides down better. Trimming the wire mesh so it sat further down in the hopper to give you more working room. Going to lowes with the plastic window and having them make a single pane glass for you for better visibility. Adding an air regulator inline to drop it down to 30-40 psi, less air consumption and saves your abrasive. There was a lot more. I've never had my gun clog.

A good source for abrasive cabinet parts is TP tools. tptools.com

I upgraded my always clogging Snap-on cabinet with their gun, foot pedal, and air filter. Also reduced my air pressure with a regulator set at 60psi.
