Hi guys,

I would be surprised if this wasnt already talked to death, but I tried searching but could not find anything on this.

I have a Gen 1 44" box, and want to get a side cabinet and possibly a top. Now they sell the gen 2, which i understand are deeper.

Can someone confirm if the gen 2 components (side or top components) will fit onto a gen 1 box bottom?

Thanks for asking this question. There are a ton of us in this conundrum. My best guess for the Gen2 top box would be to put a spacer on the top of our Gen1 (IIRC our box has a slight raised edge) and then let the Gen2 box hang over the rear. Obviously you would fasten the spacer to the top of the Gen1 cabinet and then fasten the Gen2 top box to the spacer/Gen1 cabinet. Same with the side box. It would extend farther back a few inches. My box never moves so this is fine with me.

The best answer is no the accessories for a series 2 box will not fit a series 1 box. The depth of the series 2 is deeper so you would have to do modifications to probably the series 1 roller cabinet and also probably have to drill the series 2 accessory so you can install the bolts that secure it to side of the roller cabinet.

It is likely that you would have to either build up the top lip with a piece of stock material or cut out a section on the top of the cabinet (not recommended as it would weaken the top and possibly pull the side away from the back of the cabinet

yeh not ideal, you best selling the series 1 as quite few people after them match to 18" depth they already got an go to the series 2 22" depth .

should be good coupons coming up so be fairly cheap option and certainly best option ...
