In short thinking of moving around stuff in my garage and one of the things I’m thinking of moving my 44” box. Has two of the half height side cabinets on the side. Currently has a workbench on the top and gonna keep it plus mount a vice on it.

By adding the vise I’m gonna want to get it off wheels and onto fixed stands. Considering using 2” square tubing for the uprights and 1/8 plate for the mounts and similar for the floor. Where I’m stuggling is figuring out a leveling system. I would could just use the old washers under the plate trick but looking for a better solution as we all know unbolting and shimming would kinda ****. Thanks.

This takes a little welding making the brackets, but it will hold lots of weight.
3“ ID pipe for the hockey puck. 1/4” plate on top with ready rod welded on. There is a jam nut that locks the leveling foot in place.
I use a pallet jack to move it.

@kossuth Just use Machinery levelling feet.

I welded up some legs on my toolbox and the feet could thread up inside them. [I'm swinging 2 vices from my toolbox benchtop]

I used similar HW as post above. Using feet raises the minimum height of the work surface. Maybe you care about this, maybe not.
