Got my monthly flyer and saw the coupon for $369 but couldn't remember what their usual price was. This is still a pretty good deal, then?

Thanks for posting this. Might not get the box, but I will probably pick up another jack and torque wrench....

Does anybody know if 1/2" drive deep sockets on a Hansen rack will fit in the top drawer of the 44" box?

I can't speak to the Hansen trays, but I've had no issue with them while using the Harbor Freight trays. I've had all my sockets 1/4" drive to 1/2" drive in the top drawer of the bottom chest and in the bottom drawer of the top chest without issue. They'll even fit sitting on top of wrenches.

Sorry I'm not up on the latest for these boxes, I've not really looked at any in person lately.

How does this HF unit compare to the less expensive 46" ($280) and 52" ($330) that they sell at Home Depot?

For the price, you can't beat the HF 44 and it is actually better quality than the HD boxes

I actually just sold my (almost new) Husky 46" to get the HF 44.

I liked the Husky but it's not nearly as well built as the HF. If you intend to move your box periodically, load it with heavier tools or will see a lot of action in general, you should spend a little more and get the HF.

The HF also has more drawers, more usable space. Its lock is also much better if security is an issue to you. The HF box also comes with drawer linings.

The Husky is pretty decent for what it is, it's often on sale for only $249. But I would stick to lighter duty with that box. The HF also has better expansion options.

Not sure how big the trunk of your SUV is, but the 44" box fit easily in my '04 Trailblazer. I had the employee remove all the cardboard and packaging, laid the toolbox on its back on top of cardboard and he lifted it with his forklift. Just slid it right in the back. I was by myself at home when I unloaded. I rested a 6' folding table on my bumper and just slid the box off.

They are nice. Not quite as nice as the 72" and 56" versions but still nice for the price. I recently sold a 15 year old nice kobalt cart and a really nice cornwell 7 drawer cart and replaced them both with the 72" model. Then last week I picked up two of the 44" models to put into a counter as part of a miter saw station. Other than the smell they are all great. Garage smells like HF Cresote now.

anyone know the height without wheels? This might fit perfectly under my workbench...

~33 5/8"

Get rid of the rubber liner on top, or at least stick it outside for a month or two, so it can finish outgassing. Smell will go away after that.

Can you use a 20% coupon on the $349 price?

Or can you use a 20% coupon on the $389 to bring it down to $311?

ymmv, like the poster above said, some stores/employees disallow 20%coupon on the tool boxes. i am not sure if you can use it on other sidewalk sale stuff either though, bc it sort-of looks like every deal for the sidewalk sale is a 'coupon' instead of just being on sale... so i would imagine they might say 'you cant use two coupons on one product' if you try to use the 20%.. but i am not sure.

Not according to the fine print on the 20% off coupons.

to answer my own question:
the sidewalk sale requires an internet coupon and they wouldnt let me use two coupons at once

Fits between the wheel wells of a Tacoma ... just barely.

Sweet box for the price, no issues with mine, but as noted above, boy does it STINK!
