A couple years ago I got a NIB 6" belt/disc sander for cheap at an auction, I finally got to assembling it and when I got close to done I noticed a rib in the center of the drive side of the belt, so I pulled the belt... Apparently it's made of two pieces threaded together and the whole external thread part has broken away from the pressure of corrosion between the two halves! There's no corrosion on anything else which is weird, so their threadlock must have been corrosive?
So, I looked at the HFT spare parts deal and there isn't anything on there. Looking at it I meant to measure but I'm pretty sure it's just 6" long with a 1/2" hole in the middle and two set screws to hold it to the D shaped shaft...
We have a big lathe at work, but rifle drilling for 6" staying straight isn't the easiest thing to do with the tooling we have...
I'll get better measurements tomorrow evening... If anyone has ideas, I'm all ears.
