And if that's not up your alley, here's an alternative:

Rapid Pump 3 ton steel - $80

I got this a couple months ago and I like it so far. I herniated a disc carrying it into the garage, though, so I haven't used it an awful lot - lol Too bad that they now have an overweight item charge on them, though. Back in December, it shipped for just $7!

if you own a truck then it prob barely lift enough to change a tire. but a decent jack though.

Thanks, been looking for a deal on floor jacks. Since there are no northern tools store around me,,hft is a cheaper alternative store to look into. Better height than their 2.5 ton floor jack.

Anyone else using this jack? I'm thinking about taking advantage of this sale. I was in HF tonight and checked it out. The only thing I really noticed is that the handle seemed a bit short. I also wish it had a little higher weight capacity, but it seemed better built than the other jacks, and lifts a bit higher. With the exception of the 2 ton capacity, it reminds me of the Arcan jack that everyone gets from Costco.

I am pretty sure that is an Arcan jack- the XL2T model, with a different handle.

The Costco Arcan has a lot more capacity for the same price.

This is the jack with "upgraded" handle and release mechanism. It's fairly nice, but if you just want a basic jack the 2 1/2 ton low profile goes on sale for $70 quite often and is a solid choice. I bought it until I can move into a permanent spot and buy a HW.

Does anyone happen to have a current coupon for the 2 ton low profile jack? I found coupons for the low profile 3 ton in Hot Vws, but no coupons for the 2 ton. I also searched the Harbor Freight thread a little bit. I really need the 2 ton for the extra reach. Thank you.

Man, way to blueball all of us with your necropost.

There hasn't been a coupon on this in 2 years.

NO ****. I saw this thread, saw the picture on the first post and about grabbed my keys to drive to HF.... then I noticed the post date and thought "surely not a noob bringing up an old thread" lol. Oh well.

Here's to hoping one pops up eventually!

One alternative that you should consider if you're in the market currently, Sunex makes a very similar jack to this. Not sure if the HF is a knockoff or it comes off the same assembly line.

Either way, it's on Amazon for $189 and there's a $25 off MIR available through the end of September. For the extra 25 bucks, you'll get a one year warranty instead of the 90 day from HF, and potentially better build quality (though I don't have any complaints on my 68050 except wheels that rust instantly). And maybe less shame when showing your friends. ;)

From the Harbor Freight Coupon Database at http://www.hfqpdb.com/

Valid through 08/24/2015

Finding a coupon to get it at $100 probably is not going to happen due to inflation, best I could currently find is $130.
