Harbor freight 72" box

New here and I'm looking to upgrade from my HF 44" box to the 72" box and wanted to know real world opinions of the top wide drawer weight rating. I like most will be using it to store sockets and have everything from 1/4" to 3/4" drive and would estimate all told it'll be 250-300 lbs which is over their recommended capacity. has anybody loaded theirs down that heavy? if so did you have any issues?

i tried searching but "harbor freight 72" nets the same results as "harbor freight" after doing some research last night i found this box http://www.strictlytoolboxes.com/al...reme-55-x-25-deep-12-drawer-base-cabinet.html and i think I'm going to go with it, it's a 55" box but its 3" deeper and nets almost 1,000 in^2 of storage space over the HF. has anybody had both? if so how do the two compare?

I looked at those HF boxes but in the end bought the HD Husky box for $500. I really like it. I could use another one!

find any page on garage journal that contains:
"Harbor freight" OR "HF"
AND
that contains (72 OR 72")

it will find 'HF 72' or 'HF 72"' or 'Harbor Freight 72' or 'Harbor Freight 72"'

I had no idea they had started selling a 72" cabinet. As if they 56" wasn't awesome enough.

I have 2 of the 72" boxes. I like them. They are heavily loaded btw.
The only thing that needs improved is adding another set of wheels in the center. Fully loaded with another box on top is tough to move. So if you are in a move it around all the time situation you may want to rethink it.

I would go with HF 72" when on the 999bucks coupon deal
drawer layout is good for mechanics type tools, the long drawer works best if keep weight more to sides and seems handle over the max rating, double slides is what should have.
The extreme 55" will have same issue as long drawers almost same length as HF 72" and same weight rating . Buy what works best in terms of drawer layout/size or if price conscious HF on $999 coupon .

I have had my 72" HF for about 3 years and love it.
It's hard to beat for the money.Very heavy steel.
