Hi all, I have been using GJ for years now. You all have been a great resource when comparing tools or looking for informed info about a tool/product/etc.

I was making this cart for a new to me band saw, since it was clear that it was way too heavy and awkward to be moving around and I snapped a bunch of photos. Figured this would be a good time to show off my little garage and say hi to everyone.

Nice job. I love my band saw, but the first thing I did with it was make new legs to replace the sheet metal.

With no locking castors how is it to use? Does it move around on you?
I would think you need it solid for cutting?

Nice job on the cart, I like it.

I have a similar bandsaw and I had thought about putting wheels on mine as well. I am not certain of this but I think you can buy wheels that mount right to the legs and they can lock if you want to lock them.

Nice job OP. I made something similar for my first bandsaw that was that size. Worked like a champ. I also made one for my big one. Having these on a good solid rolling platform makes all the difference in the world.

I had the same thought and would have used locking castors, but these were laying around. Figured I could upgrade if it was an issue. I have been using the saw a lot lately and surprisingly it's not been an issue at all. Having the ability to move it easily had been awesome though.

My saw looks similar to the OP's! It has been on this stand for 11 years and gets used nearly every day.

Never had an issue with the non-locking casters. Getting it up to a "no bending over" working height was the best thing I did.
