yep, also not in one in over a year, I am humbled by admitting I was a "Free" *****, I ofter went in just to get the Free thing, then didn't even bother, just bought something and left, no need for another XYZ (flashlight- whatever.

Harbor Freights BF ad is always disappointing. Its basically just one of their regular ads with a fancy name. Most stores are the same way anymore, online deals and stores starting sales way early have killed it. Covid doubled down on that death as places can't get the volume into the stores for a good sale.

most of these prices are at or above what the coupon price would have been in 2019. and the only box on sale is the new 34". That's really disappointing.

Exactly. I think Black Friday deals have gotten much worse over the years. I think the heyday of BF was the late 90s to about 2010. Back then there would be deals that were truly insane, deals that literally you would only get on BF.

Lowe’s and HD both have decent BF sales this year, imho. It is typically low end tools that any DIYer will already have, and if they didnt, probably wouldn’t want that particular model with limited features, power, etc. . I’m talking about the most basic portable table saws, circular saws, a cordless drill with one small battery, etc.
HD has a nice Ridgid vac, an 1/4 hex impact extension set, and a nice set of Milwaukee hole saws listed this year.
I didn’t see anything unusual in the Harbor Freight ad this year that didn’t look like their regular sales. Ill Monday morning quarterback HF a little bit here. I think eliminating the coupons for “everyday low prices” was a mistake. There’s not incentive to buy NOW. JCPenny tried this same model a whole ago and it was a complete flop for them. When you get the elusive 20% off coupon from HF and know it might be awhile before you see another one, your mind goes back to hat last project when have a particular gizmo would’ve made it better, faster, easier, etc and you are more likely to go buy it now. if I know there’s a good chance I can buy the same thing in a couple weeks for the same price and I don’t need it now, then I’m not buying yet.

Ive been watching the HF 20 ton press to see if there would be a coupon I could use. This week it went up from $229 to $249. I assume that is in anticipation of a coupon for BF. So do I now need a coupon to get the regular everyday price?!

I also noticed that it said out of stock in all my local stores until the price went up. Now the all magically have stock. Hmmm. I wish there was a better option to that HF press.

I was thinking of the 72” US General tool box, but I see the price has gone up big time $1499!! I’d rather spend a little more and get the Homak RS Pro 72”

For that kind of shing, I would check out strictlytoolboxes.com. They also used to sell scratch and dent under rockintoolboxes.com . I got a 56x25 from them and was really impressed with the quality. Had to use two jacks to get it off the pallet it was so heavy.

I’m buying one of those carts whenever I make it over there. I’ve wanted a cart like that for a long time just don’t want to pay tool truck price. And since I’m ITC I can get it anytime this week while everyone else has to wait. Let’s just hope they have it in stock and I don’t have to wait on it and have them not call me like last time.

Sadly with inflation, yeah the prices are higher than 2019 and earlier prices (and especially coupon prices), but with all the s--t that has gone down the last 2 years it's to be expected.

The Titanium Easy Flux 125 welder is an absolute steal at $169. Also the 588 lumens tactical flashlights for $9 are a steal. I paid $13 each for a few of those last week.

The Elcatorq 3/8 and 1/2 digital torque wrenches are a good deal. Thinking about picking up the 3/8 @ $129 if they have any left on the shelf.

Also the Braun light is back to $20. I rather pay 2X to 3X though for a quality Astro light though.

Some HomeDepots used to have Hot Dogs. I don't see what the problem is. :ROFLMAO:

I went in HF yesterday. They were out of half of what I wanted and seemed to fill the shelves with whatever product they could get in.
