It's often at 349, so nothing crazy.

Wonder if you can apply a 20% off to these sale prices (on qualifying item), otherwise the prices are those of normal coupons.

Nothing too interesting in the black Friday ad. Have seen most of those prices before with coupons.

HF's Black Friday sale is never anything special.

I consider that a good thing. Thee is no pressure to get there, and the stores aren't crowded if you have a long weekend project that requires another tool.

The prices and timing make me wonder if it is a fake ad. Those have happened before with other companies. There are literally NO amazing deals and no real deals on their new flagship products (Daytona Jack, Earthquake XT), just makes it feel off. Then again, maybe the huge sales are not their MO.

I just received an ITC coupon for $289 on this at a one day sale. It's nothing I'm interested in but how does this price stack up. I don't often find the club deals to be anything that exceptional

it is at the sidewalk sale this weekend for that price. it is a nice box. note that it biases towards shallower drawers. great if you lay your tools out flat, not so great for standing up the deep well sockets.

personally i prefer shallower drawers since you get more in a stack, and i prefer to lay the tools out to make things easier to find, but i am "a broken toy", according to people i know, so . . . . . . . . .

Well that's good to know because the ITC coupon of $289.99 I received was for an additional $10 off the sidewalk sale ad of $298.99 but was only for 10/13

Eh its always the same items or so on these things, they might drop the price by like 20-30 bucks on larger items but that happens all the time. So yea, I dont see anything really worth it, same items go on sale all the time.

sorry, i didnt realize that the online price would be different than the one they emailed me. of course, they pull this **** all the time, so it doesn't surprise me.

here is a copy of the image i got with the 289.99$ price. it doesn't provide a coupon, the link behind it takes you to an ordering page with the 289.99$ price.

here is the "mobile view" url they included:

which i would imagine you should show them at the store to get the correct price.

folks are going to want to know which store that was . . . . .

and be careful. open box on sale like that implies someone didnt like them because of some issue . . . . . .

It was at the Rogers Plaza Store in Wyoming, MI. I looked them over pretty good. Seemed OK. It was only the top box that was opened. The bottoms were still packed in the boxes. Might have to go back today.

I don't think I would be able to tell that from a normal sale paper from them. They must not put much stock in Black Friday.

Went back today for a closer look. The tops indeed had a couple of dented corners. Bottoms still boxed up. They did have bottoms only for sale. $197.99.
Think I'd buy the dented set and try to peddle the top for $50 or $75.

Hmm that's pretty interesting Thanks for pointing that out.

So I just clicked on my "expired" coupon and it went to a valid web page with $289.99 add to cart price and right now if I click on the $298.99 ad on their parking lot sale page it also shows a $289.99 price on the description page link.

Something is definitely messed up :D

That said I'll mention once again I don't really see much benefit to the ITC. A lot of people say that. I'm on a membership my boss purchased for the business so the cost didn't matter much to me. But pricing can usually be beat with a coupon. One example right now another ITC "sale" from that one day only email.

http://www.harborfreight.com/titanium-nitride-coated-drill-bit-set-29-pc-61637.html

Price showing is still $14.39. And also have a $12.99 coupon for the same set good thru early January.

Go figure hey

I bought this set last year for $8 (without coupons). I'm pretty sure it was a price mistake.

I've been looking at the 44" chest, is it worth it? I'm outgrowing my craftsman man box at a much faster rate than I care to admit.

The top, the bottom or both?

Thumb around the site and you'll quickly see the popularity of the 44.
For now the chest itself. I saw that black Fridays ad and am considering going in for it. I've also looked at the Husky boxes from home depot looking for the best value for the most space.

Harbor Freight is one of those places where I never understood why people camp out the night before to line up and gain early access to the store. The prices are same throughout the year, its only the matter of joining the scavenger hunt on coupons (which are available online) ;)

Consider it you should. The HF 44" has been the best bang for the buck for several years and with BF approaching get it for the best price you can.

Great comparison thread if you're considering something else.

while that is a great thread, remember that it was started 4 years ago. the hf44 is the only thing listed in the early posts that is still available.

there are more recent posts with more current information, but discussions about specific models from other sources (except the 44, and the truck brands) more than 12 or 18 months old are likely incorrect because they change the models so often. i will note that this also makes it difficult to get another identical cabinet, if you find the look of matching stacks pleasing . . . . .

So I just sold my old craftsman chests. My wife gave me the okay to buy the 72" box from HF. Would you guys jump on that? Originally was considering the 44" have the 349$ coupon ready to go.
