i'm going to buy the harbor freight portable bandsaw. regular price is $82. is the 25% off coupon the best deal for it? no more hacksaw for every single cut :bounce:

Sry Those types of coupons don't usually work on toolboxes, nor power tools. You have to find a specific coupon that discounts that single item in particular.

I don't see anything in the fine print on the 25% off coupon that says it can't be used on power tools.

thanks for the replies.

the 25% does work on it, i typed it in on the website to confirm. i did a search and someone posted that they got it for $50 with a coupon, but no link to the coupon and the post was back in february.

If the coupon works, it'll may still be more expensive than the coupons specifically for an item. i.e the 1/2 inch earthquake impact is 73.49 with the 25% off coupon, but there's a specific coupon floating around for that item that makes it 68 bucks. Sorry for my inaccuracy and confusion

Thanks for posting this. I keep a selection of these coupon images on my phone, they usually only want the number at the bottom but every now and then they want to see that i actually have the coupon as well.

Can you use a 20% and 25% coupon for two different items but during the same 'visit'(check out)?

I'm still new to stacking HF coupons for maximum discount.

Sorry, but they only take one percentage off coupon per visit. And the register will apply it to the most expensive item in the order, with the usual exclusions listed in the fine print - namely tool carts, compressors, and jacks.

If you have a store nearby, then just drop by on a few different days and pick up 1 item at a time at 25% off. You can show them the coupon on your phone or print one out and use the same code over and over again, it's just once per visit. Once you do the math you will realize that almost all items are cheaper when a 25% off coupon is applied instead of the coupons that are specific for one item.

I've been waiting for the 44" top to be in stock at my local HF. They'll have them tomorrow but the only $279 coupon I can find expires today! Anyone have a valid coupon code? Item 68787 or 69398.

In this circumstance could you buy today and pick up tomorrow? Just have them mark the receipt. Show the receipt and the date on it should allow them to verify that you didn't take one home on date of purchase because they were out of inventory.

Or is that too risky at HF?

Otherwise you have the right idea I suppose since the coupons are issued all the time. I'm sure someone will put up an unexpired coupon soon.

It might be too late, but I've had my local HF give me a raincheck on coupon items before. You'll get a slip that will allow you to purchase for the coupon or sale price when they get the item back in stock.
