Our HF's are all over the board.
Sometimes they will take the phone coupon.
Sometimes they give coupon discount with no proof of the coupon in any format.
Sometimes they will take just the number off coup.
I've had them give me the 20% of on more than one item in one transaction.
I've had them return all of my coupons after first use, and then I used one of the coupons later that day at another location.
I've had them let me use two free items coupons in one transaction.
Etc.....
So far the one surefire method is the printed coupon is accepted regardless of who the store manager is, the current employees on duty, their respective training/experience level etc.
I typically only stop at HF when I'm in the big city for other commitments and rarely is their a HF run only.
I've learned my lesson and until there is some consistency of being able to use the other coupon formats, I find the safe bet is to show up with a printed one just in case.
