At least I know these coupons exist to look for from now on.
They are a bit like hen's teeth, though. I haven't seen one in any of my emails for years. I shop there very sparingly since they dropped the big coupons. I did join inside track though recently. I needed a new welding cart that was discounted for ITC members at the same cost as the membership, so it was a wash.

I never get them. My dad gets them every few months. I'm sure there is something causing it but I can't tell what consistently triggers them to send.

Anyone know of any coupons for the Titanium line of welders? My MIG 170 seems to be done. While I own a bunch of welders, that little thing is a champ in the field and I'd like to buy another.

Go look at PrimeWeld. They have a MIG180 that gets high praise. And they wrote the book on Customer Service. I have a MIG 285 from them and it's a dream to weld with.

Looking at that, I like everything about that machine except the weight (55lb.). The Titanium MIG 170 only weighs 24lb., which is freaking AWESOME for moving around. Unfortunately I treated it like a Lincoln and the plastics did not hold up to the handling abuse.

Recently it quit striking an arc; instead of welding it would just sputter at electrode contact on 120 or 240. When I pulled the side cover off to see if there were blown caps or anything, it quit even powering on in 240V mode. Sadness.

I'd get another but I would have to make sure that we take a lot better care of it when handling and moving it.

If weight is what you are looking for then make sure you look specifically for inverter models.

The MIG 180 is less than 30 pounds.

The 285 is the bigger one because it can take a 33lb spool od wire.

Weird. I looked on Amazon and it says it's 55lb.; maybe that's the entire package. Primeweld's webpage says 29.8. This could be a contender.

I've actually hated how much I've enjoyed welding with that HF MIG 170. That thing welds VERY well and has more power than it should, though it does have a couple weird quirks (e.g. sometimes when you let off the trigger in 2T it keeps feeding wire). Arcs are super easy, welds are clean.

Edit: Ordered the Primeweld 180. It looks like it has what I need: Dual voltage, light weight, decent return/service policy. Let's hope it's durable. My guys beat the **** out of that Titanium in the field; I'll ask them to be nicer to this one. I'd go with a Millermatic 211 but it's awfully hard to justify over $2k for something that gets treated as poorly as my guys treat the field welders.

Just know, that if you have an issue with it, call the number. Or reach out to Gene or Dustin (the big wigs over there) on Fakebook and they will make it right. They pay for all return shipping. I've even seen stories about people ******* up their own machines and get a replacement free of charge or a replacement board, etc. The customer service is second to no one. I've had my TIG225 for 3+ years with 0 problems. I've had the 285 since about 3 weeks after it was release. I haven't put a ton of time behind it, but so far, it is as nice a welder as I have ever used. I only wish it came with the spool gun like the 180 does.

Looking for a 25% off "We miss you" coupon if anyone has one they're not going to use. Will save me $50.

Please PM if you have one.

I like to see what the weekend promotion will be each week as I've gotten into the Hercules brushless line. If you look on their site and see a free gift or bucket mentioned, move on along. Nothing worth having for sale that weekend.

I appreciate it, although what I'm planning on getting is excluded from that coupon.

I got one of the 25% "we miss you" one last week and I used it (rolling tool cabinet). It had no exclusions. That's the second one I've received. It said only good in store. It was a little over a year between them and in fact the last two times I've been to the store were because of that coupon. I had ordered items from the website in between. I suppose if you don't go to the store for long enough, you'll get one.

Basically the coupon can’t be used for anything you might actually want.

If you want "big ticket" items, then no you can't use it.

You want some hand tools, it'll work for that.

That's why the "miss you " 25% coupon was asked for. Here's the fine print on the one I received a little while ago and used for a roller box.
