I tried to use the 30% off coupon on an open box item. It’s said 5 day return period with a purple label. But the cashier rejected. I was actually pretty happy walking out there. It’s an icon adapter set. 3/4 to 1/2 etc. I don’t really need them.

But is this correct? I thought open box is the same as as is items. Thanks

It had to be in a sealed box with an orange tag on it. HF seeds the stores with returned items(they call it refurbished). Those items were marked down quite a bit or even a lot. On top of that you could take an extra 30% or 40(ITC)% off the tagged price. Open box items are excluded unless they have an orange tag on it and then I'd argue about it lol.

Included in the sale. I bought one for $35.69 after 40% off.




I think it says $629.99 so if it is eligible it would have been $377.99 for ITC. I thought hard about it. Current ITC price is $799.99 for ITC otherwise its $899.99 so it woulda been one hell of a deal. If I had wanted it I would not have argued with a cashier about it, I would have gone straight to a manager.

Now that the series 3 has been out for a month or two, has anyone had a chance to compare them to the series 2? Looking at getting a new 56" box, and from the one photo I've found online, I think I like the drawer layout on the 3 better, but I'm a little concerned with the weight difference on...

The new red vises or the gray vises? The coupons don't work on Central Machinery. But I don't think Doyle is listed on those coupon so I think you would be good for the red ones. That's stupid (or better for buyers) cause the Doyle vises are supposed to be better.

I was waiting for some sort of 10% coupon that would work on Central Machinery. I wanted their new mini table mount vise. It's only $25 but I'm still sour & won't buy anything from HF without a coupon.

Then luckily my brother emailed me a 25% no exclusion coupon. A week later he got another one. If he gets another one soon I'll send it to you. I don't have anything else on my list to buy from them.

Those Doyles look pretty nice but I can't see myself paying 3x for as much for my vice needs, but 25% off would tempt me. My guess they will do something with coupons around Labor day.

I had a blue Central (whatever) multipurpose before from HF that I got out the door with sale and coupon about 8 years ago for $50-something. It worked plenty good for me but I broke it totally abusing it with a cheater bar.

This vice has worked out well for me, I was really tempted to get a 2nd one when they were doing 40% off clearance a few weeks ago.

I also have the old blue version of this 4 in. Drill Press Vise and I can't complain. It blows that these now fall under Central Machinery and that is usually excluded.

If HF does a 20% or 25% for the upcoming holiday I'm getting the Doyle 65lb Anvil. Lots of good reviews about it.

I just went thru this with HF. I had an order in for over a month on a 72 S2 box (blue in fact), and they just cancelled it. I had a 25% off coupon applied to my order. I tried calling after cancellation trying to get a similar deal applied to a S3 box, and they told me to shove it.

You're only getting a 72 S2 box from whatever happens to be in stock in-store. That same logic is trickling down to the smaller sizes as time passes.

Yes, Icon is notably absent from the exusions list. Might be some of the best deals.
