I get spammed with them several times a week and that was even before I paid for the ITC membership(just few months ago). Maybe it was from an online order years ago. Strange that others aren't getting the coupons. Do you guys check your spam folders?

I get lots of email to get their credit card. The deals emails are usually late. I'm signed up for text notifications and still don't hear about a good deal first. The easiest way to know whats on sale is on the HF site where you can see all the deals. Be sure to cross reference deals, it's not unusual for there to be multiple coupons for the same item some with a better price. You can go the HF page and click on deals and see all the latest fliers. You can do the same in their app.

If you can wait a bit for your purchase sometimes the Super Coupons that get posted meet or beat the membership prices.

If they are going to put there name on it for free advertisement, they shouldnt be selling it. Just like dealer badges on the backs of cars, Harley tees shirts with dealer logos ironed on them and the Harley tax attached. If they are sticking their names on it , Im not paying for it,

Need a general use (or Icon specific) 25%-30% off coupon. I want some wrenches and maybe a few other items.

Looks like HFT is doing the 10 days of deals again. This Friday is 40% off ICON modular sets:

I thought ICON was releasing new modular sets this year that include the g2 ratchets? Maybe they are clearing out inventory ahead of that launch.

Ditto... Plus, the nearest ones are at least 30 minutes from my house (or office), so I'm not running there more than once in a sale week to chase deals.

Actually, maybe that's a blessing...

I can’t say HF is winning me over with the current structure/timing of the deals. The old days with a blanket coupon made me much more likely to shop there. I haven’t bought anything except the latex gloves in a long time.

Same here. The previous structure would have me shopping there much more regularly and I was much more likely to drop in and buy something for the convenience. Since they did away with the blanket coupons I find myself using Amazon more and only stopping into HF when I know they'll have something (affordable) in stock or when there's a decent sale (a few times a year).

I do like that their tools have, broadly speaking, been increasing in quality and I understand the realities of a changing economy, but at the end of the day since they've changed their sale/coupon structures I just don't shop there as much any more.

Too bad the 1/2" set isn't out yet. I already have these two.

I wish they made a single set that was 1/4” and 3/8” metric only with the foam trays to put in a PACKOUT drawer. SAE is dead.

Welp, I can finally cross "replace ratchets and sockets older than me" off the list. Just picked mine up today. Gotta admit, I like it.

Same here as I picked up a couple 3/8 kits. One for travel and one for my son. They seem like a great set for the price and probably as good, if not better, than some of my old Craftsman stuff.

SAE is losing ground, but it's certainly not dead. I agree with you though about separating them. I don't need metric getting in my way at work and SAE is pretty much useless on working on my cars.

I’m down to one set of SAE ratcheting wrenches and one set of Icon mid length 3/8” sockets in my working cart. Unless I’m working on a trailer I generally don’t have to go beyond those. Anything more and I have to my big box in the back of the shop. I may add 1/4” and 5/16” nut drivers on the cart for hose clamps.

I used to be that guy who had to buy matching SAE for every new metric set, but not anymore.

I picked up another 1000# hydraulic table yesterday for the shop to get stuff loaded and unloaded. I have the old haul master i think it was at the house now with the backwards *** brakes on the casters. on is off. I got there about 9.30am and they only had two and only a few people in the store. You would think they would stock up a bit more , they know this sale wasn't a last minute suprise.

I'm not sure if those extra long ratchet wrenches where worth $239. The coupon brings them more in line. I bought a knock off set of extra longs from the jungle to swap out a set of GM Magnarides. Honesty didn't actually need them but did make it nice.

I bought a set of them at one of the past sales.

I was doing caliper bracket bolts on my 4runner and I found the beams were kinda thin for my retired guy hands...I reached for the Milwaukee instead.
