At my local HF (N. of Detroit) they will accept any visual copy of a coupon, such as a photo on your laptop or cell phone or camera. Doesn't have to scan. They look at it and input the numbers from below the barcode. You must have more than just the numbers, though. I always take a few 20% printed coupons to give to guys buying big things. Even used one on my phone for the guy in front of me in line and then used it for myself.
In a pinch you can use your web enabled phone to go to this site and this thread to look at a photo. Did that too.
Some coupons won't work because they have a different lot number for the same item, than is on the coupon. This was true on the multimeters at my store.
20% is good off of full price of service carts.

Haha nice - which store do you usually frequent? I've only been to the store in Clinton Township on Groesbeck.

Having formerly lived in Auburn Hills I used to go to the flint store, and the Clinton twp store, then the Pontiac store when it opened. All were fine taking 20% coupons. Heck one day I bought 3 big items in Pontiac, bought one item and walked back in and bought the next item. Etc. Apparently you are only supposed to use one coupon per day. Now the closest store is in Saginasty and they tend to give me a hard time with the 20% coupon. They wont let you use it on clearance items. I will use a 20% coupon on a $4 item.
I guess some managers are hard a$$es and some are not. I don’t know why retail managers are like that. They act like you are taking money out of their pocket.

Technicaly the manager most likely gets a bonus based off of gross profit margin sooooooooo the more the gross profit the better his bonus.

Makes sense about the bonus. Of course if I would imagine most managers rather make customers happy, then create a difficult situation.

read an article recently about coupons and the internet. seems a lot of companies are trying to reduce the number of "super-shoppers", people who use coupons, discount codes, etc. to *their* advantage, instead of what the company intended, i.e. to draw in customers. while i don't think they necessarily are losing so much, i think it's more of a "using the rules against us isn't fair" kind of thing. they would rather cut off a customer that "takes advantage" of coupons and lose their sales. sore losers is what I call those stores.

RbrtAWhyt, thanks for posting those HF coupons. I just picked up one of these today:

$108, out the door. I'll be putting it together tomorrow. I've been wanting to get one for a while .. and couldn't resist the price.

Just picked up the $99 roller cart today myself. No problems using the internet coupon.

Next purchase will be the 41 inch tool cabinet.

Well, after evaluating just about every tool cabinet/box combo or whatever out there, I ended up buying a slightly used Snap On cabinet/box combo instead, off Craigs List. Got a really good deal, and its in really good shape.

Now its time to dump one of my older Craftsman set ups, along with a Kennedy box I have laying around.

I would encourage everyone to keep an eye on Craigs List. The deals are out there!

I take it the 20% coupon applies to side cabinets also? I was looking at the seven drawer side cabinet & 42 inch side cabinet.

I got a new flyer from HF and they had the 1/2" earthquake impact for $79.99 reg. price $99.99. The reveues being good I went to pick one up. Got to the regester, gave her the coupon, she said it would not work and the sale hadn't started yet. Showed her date on flyed, yesterday, she then said that it showed $79.99 being regular price. "light bulb goes on" Well then can I use this 20% off coupon? Sure, now price is down to $63.99, I pay up and she gives me a free flashlight and said have a nice day. I just smiled a left.

I am wondering why you might think the 20%coupon works on the side cabinets, you are talking about the "tool" side cabinets to the 13 drawer chest correct? can that be verified?

I'm hoping because it is a smaller item( at least for the 7 drawers cabinet). If anyone can confirm, that would be great. Otherwise I might just give it a try.

The item size doesn't matter. Hell, even what the item is for doesn't matter. All that matters is what words are in the item's name. Since the word "cabinet" is in the side-cabinet's name, you're out of luck, the computer won't take the coupon. The decisions about what is and isn't covered are being made by drones in corporate, not people who actually make the product. That means they're going off the title and nothing else.

That's why the airbrush kit w/compressor is out but the "service cart" (which is just a narrow tool cabinet, if you think about it) is allowed.

Got this in an email from HF last Friday -
Does anyone have this cart?
Is this 700 lb. capacity 5 drawer cart worth the extra $$$ over the 580 lb 4 drawer cart?

I have an SO cart and the Red HF cart and I would say that the HF is 95% as well made as the SO in both materials and finish. The 5% difference is in the casters not the rest of the cabinet. I am trying to figure out if I should buy another one but my floor space is getting to be a premium item itself. In my opinion well worth buying.

wireless inspection camera with 2.4" lcd monitor item #66550 for $64

Hey guys,

I know this is a coupon thread but I just got a great deal on the wireless inspection scope from my hf in PA. for $64 ($79 - 20%) today. I went to the store yesterday, and the guy told me the wired scope was on sale for $119 and the wireless was reg price $159. I checked your site for a coupon to save $70 on either camera that had an exp date 3/2/11 that I had seen browsing the interweb(but was a picture not a scan) .No luck that but i did find a 20% coupon(thanx guys). I called my hf today to see if they would except the picture of the $70 off coupon, and they told me that the price was cut today to $79.99, $10 less than the coupon would have given me, plus I could use the 20% coupon. I don't think this price cut is in the ad, and the wireless cam on hf website redirects to the wired cam, short of going to the store(or calling), I don't know how this info would get out.

I hope my first post was helpful and not too long.

I do. Recently picked it up. For the money I don't think you can find a better tool cart around. It is super sturdy and has lots of room. I bought it using the $169.99 coupon. I also had two or three $99 coupons for the black box in hand when I went to look at them and pick one out. I think the Red Cart was easily worth the extra money but with that said, I wouldn't hesitate to get the black one. If it has the exact same drawer layout, I would have gotten the black one just to save a few bucks. Super happy with the red one. Either is a good choice so I don't think you can go wrong. Show up at the store with a coupon for each and look them over.

I will second rmousir on the red 5 drawer tool cart. The only thing I don't like is that if I put my snap on prybars in the slots on the sides, then the lid doesn't close. Other than that, I am completely happy. I am trying to figure out what to put on the bottom shelf.

I'm unable to get that item # to work, and I'm not finding searches for "inspection camera", "wireless inspection camera", etc. Could you provide a link, or double check that item number?

Thanks!

Thanks RbrtAWhyt!
I just picked up the tool cart for $99.99 in Flint, MI. No problem using a printed coupon!
This thing is way sturdier than I was expecting! It has freed up a lot of space in my toolbox!
Thanks for posting the coupon.

It is being discontinued, you can only get them in the stores, if they still have any left overs.

If I were to print the 20% coupon, will they accept this like a printed deal of the day coupon?
