I just talked to the GM of the local Harbor Freight. He said he would price match the $699 but would have to do it with a raincheck. They are sold out. You may want to ask.

The coupon was in the January Hot Rod.

Harbor Freight just called. Box is in. That was surprisingly fast.

Just picked up that 56 inch box. I should have brought more than one friend. Had to take the drawers out to unload it. 585#

I bought the 13 drawer when they were clearing out the matte finish, not realizing that was the reason, and didn't grab a top box until there were no more matching matte finish. So I have a matte finish bottom, and gloss top. Oh well, they're my first tool chests, and much better quality than I anticipated.

My local HF had a couple of matte finish 13 drawers, that were returned for glossy's, being sold as "open box". If it matters that much they may take it back and you can buy a glossy.

Which do you guys suggest, the 56" box or the 44" box? I like the idea of the 56" box to have under a workbench... can't find any coupons for one though :(

Put two 44's together. Twice as many drawers and, at least in my case, I wanted more drawers, not bigger drawers.

Has anyone ever mounted one of the HF Tool Chest to the wall and made a work bench thats suspended off the ground? If you have please post pic. I am re-building storage and want to mount everything on the wall.

You better have a heck of a mounting. Those things are very heavy empty. Full would have to be well over 1000lbs.

Agreed. I don't have one but any tool box lower would tend to be heavy. Think seriously about some kind of steel frame and even just a couple of short legs. You could still get a broom under it to clean and it wouldn't pull the studs out of your wall when it is loaded.

Harbor Freight has excluded the tool carts from the percent off discount coupons, since sometime in early March or late Feb.

I'm glad I purchased the five drawer red one on New Years Day with the 25% off coupon and got the price to 1/2 off, at $150 plus tax.

There are still sale coupons on the lessor black four drawer tool cart.

Hey man, got a scan for the $99 4 drawer black cart?

Got a buddy that needs a cart and couldn't talk him into the 5 drawer, and after messing around with the black one in the store, it's not that bad. The only thing i don't like is the cover lift mechanism, but i can fix that.

Can u post pix of the 56 tool box cupon? I went to barnes and noble which the only place that has an abundant selection of mags and they only have the april edition of this old house. I checked various other mags with no luck.

The 44" top chest coupon? I've been looking for that for a long time. :(

I appreciate this scan! Turns out i found one in one of my mags last night, but it's only good til 5/3. I'll keep this one just in case i want to grab one too for miscellaneous things. :)

Is it still possible to get a good deal on a 3 ton aluminum floor jacks? The list price is $199, but I'm wondering if it could be had for less.

I can't make the file small enough to load on the GJ site with a clear enough resolution to be able to see the coupon numbers. You can download it off my personal site and see if it works for you.

http://www.dukejones.com/GJ/HFCoupon.pdf

You can increase the size of the coupon you want in the pdf then print.

Can you use the 20% off on top of the super coupons or just the coupons? If so the 13 drawer chest can be had for right around 300 otd.

For anyone looking for a less expensive top for the 13 drawer cabinet, I ran across these at Rural King, but they are actually only 41" wide, which I thought matched the old crinkle finish HF boxes..

The top box is $219.98 and has 7 drawers (deep lower right drawer) instead of HF's 8 drawers (all shallow drawers).

The bottom box is $379.98 and has 11 drawers (bottom 2 drawers on each side are deep) instead of HF's 13 drawers (bottom drawer only on each side is deep).

The RK boxes do have ball bearing slides and drawer liners. I don't know if they are as havy as the HF boxes, but I do know they would be good enough for me.
