I have always found that it is one coupon per item, regardless of the current price of the item. In other words, if it is just on sale (with no coupon) then you can use a coupon to knock 20% off the sale price (assuming it isn't excluded on the 20% coupon). What you cannot do is stack two coupons on the same item. In other words:

Normal price for creeper = $39.99
Sale price for creeper = $29.99
Coupon price for creeper = $17.99

You may:

Use a 20% off coupon applied to the sale price:

$29.99 - $6.00 = $23.99

OR you may:

Use the coupon for the creeper:

$17.99

BUT you may NOT:

Use the coupon for the creeper and the 20% off coupon:

$17.99 - $3.60 = $14.39

This has been my experience as well. If the item is on sale, you can still use the 20% off coupon, but you cannot use multiple coupons for the same item.

The verbage on the coupon itself seems to indicate that they could refuse a coupon for an item that's "on sale", but that seems to be the exception rather than the rule.

Re: HF 10" sliding miter coupon

I think I saw the 12" on sale for $119. If you can swing that it sure is nice to be able to cut a 4X4 in half. I got my 12" last year for $99.

Really don't trust it, or the 10" version for any fine carpentry, or woodworking.
It should be good for deck, or shed

I used the 12" version (got it for $109 couple years back) for 1500 sq.ft. of laminate flooring and baseboards in my house without a single problem. It works fine, as well as any other CMS I've messed with.

The stock blade is garbage, but I still have it and use it occasionally for pallet wood or other dirty materials. The castings are a little rough in places, and I had to spend some time squaring up the fence and adjusting the bevel stops, but it spins up every time I pull the trigger and it cuts straight. The only real problem I have with it is that the slider bars are starting to corrode in the humidity down here. I need to hit them with some steel wool and see how well they clean up.

Or I could throw the whole unit away, buy three more brand new ones, and still be out of pocket less than a comparably sized Bosch or Makita.

Re: HF 10" sliding miter coupon

Does anyone have a harbor freight 10" sliding miter coupon? I used to get coupons and ads from them all the time. And then they just stopped coming. Would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks..
I didn't get mine last month either.

I also did my hardwood floor and all the baseboard. I agree the stock blade is bad with compound miter cuts. I do have some good sears blades I need to put on it and see if it gets better. But next summer im sure it will do fine on the deck I will build. I paid $99 and name brands at HD are $500.

My laser did get ripped off it's mount when I made an extreme angle cut. Looks like the wire wasn't long enough. I just let it hang and did with out it.

On the HF website it says they will price any competitors price, or advertised special up to 1 year. Will they price match their own prices within a year?

Ended up just buying a used HF 12" sliding Miter of eBay for $75 I figured I will test it out.

I think the stock blade isn't stable during compound miter cuts. Some joints did not line up perfect when I did molding. I think the blade gets hot and bends or something. Invest in a name brand blade before evaluating the saw as a hole. I bought the stand from HF for $79 but after seeing the Skil stand i returned it and got th Skil. Much simpler design and was only $99 on sale at Menards.

I'm concerned about all this talk of the stock HF blade on a miter saw. Most people I have worked with, first thing they do is take off the stock blade on a name brand saw! I wouldn't try to do anything more than straight cuts on framing lumber with that HF blade.

Thanks for the info. If you have time, could you measure the extension wing holes width? The one I got doesn't come with them. I can get another set for around $15 but not sure if it will work. I might just make some out of a 2x4 or something though. When mounting it to a bench. I'm un-decided if I just want to make a stand or what.

Maybe PM me so not to get more off topic?
Thanks..

That's the best price you can count on for it. Some claim there's coupons sometimes for it, I've never seen one.

Usualy the only time the price drops on the end cabnets is during their sidewalk sales and special events, but with those now being advertised and coupons circulated in the local papers for those sales and grand openings it's not likely they will be a sale item anytime soon, it opens up the stores to having to honor the coupon at any store.

I waited for almost a year for that end cabinet to go lower. Never found it lower than $199. Finally bought it and hung it on my 56in.

I got 2 at the parking lot sale that were in the 'scratch and dent' pile but hardly noticeable damage. They were asking $125 each and I got the pair for $225.
