I moved recently and the closest HF isn't too close. I've started ordering online. $6.99 Flat-Rate Standard Ground Shipping here in the US.

Might look to see if shipping to Canada is reasonable. ???

Princess Auto isn't near HF prices wise and with all the coupons and offers I see from HF. As for tool chest from HF, there's no way I could buy online...

As for Northen Tool, they are based in US and ship to Canada, but again, there's no big deals usually...

I went to harbor freight for the first time on saturday (drove down from canada to get the folding trailer). I was not all that impressed...it was much worse than I expected in terms of quality and just the store in general was not a pretty site (felt like a hole in the wall). The 44" box that every one raves on felt more flimsy and cheap compared to my equally chinese/cheap mastercraft box. I guess for disposable tools and stuff you only need once it would be ok.

Of course nearly everything in Canada is more expensive than the US, so I'm not surprised the prices do not compare.

Well I did the mod on the insect zapper. Go check it out. I don't know how long it's going to last, but it was fun to do since it was free!!! I might get me some more just for fun.

Picked up the 5 drawer red cart ($159) 9piece SAE and metric combo wrench sets ($5.99ea) and got free tarp and magnetic dish. Thanks guys!

I thought I would be able to get away with the 26 but decided to go with the 44 bottom and I'm glad I did because of this site I have found that it's already full and I need the top chest to go with it.

I am looking for a coupon that allows for entire purchase, rather than one item. I know that they had them, I got one last time I went. The nearest HF is two plus hours from me, so I like to be prepared. I grabbed the 25% of one item and figure I can just go in and out or have my GF use one. Thanks for the thread!

I know this sounds cheesy, but since you are driving 2 plus hours to HF, here is what I recommend you do. Bring a stack of 25% off and purchase one at a time and/or get GF to do the same, that way you can do two at a time. Go to car and put items in car. Go back to store, presto, you are a new customer and are able to purchase your item with another 25% off Q.

I know it's cheesy. Maybe go in the morning, then have breakfast, back in before lunch, have lunch, one last time, then off to home sweet home. Get the GF to help and you have 6 items 25% off.

Use the new freebie items while you are there form the previous post.

Problem with that is the store doesnt HAVE to let you do that because the coupons say per customer per day

Yes, true it does say that, but when you leave out that door, you are no longer a customer until you walk back through those doors again, presto, you are a NEW CUSTOMER. Key word is CUSTOMER. As long as you stay in the store you are basically the same customer, but why would you stay inside the store all day?

I don't over dot it. Just saying for the person who is driving 2 plus hours to shop at HF, that this is something you might want to do since you don't go too often and want to make the most from your shopping trip.

I have 7 HF where I live. I could hit them all and use the same Q. They would never know. You have gotta love HF.

So far so good. I took the GC to one of the local HF where I was at the time and used it without any problems with the new freebie Q. Basically, I got two freebie, the magnetic torpedo level and four outlet power strip. I keep forgetting to use the 25%Q!!!!:mad:

I will have to try it next time. BTW this store IMO has the best looking cashiers where I shop and the most friendly!!!:)

Our local library has a rack of magazines that you can take for free, I'll have to get me some extra's. Those are usually good for 3-4 months. They always have car mags in there.

Actually, you are still you. A customer is no different than a client. A person is a customer or client once and can make numerous purchases per day but they are still the same customer.

However you want to word it, that's fine. In any case, I know my stores and they know me as you can see in the videos, so I can do these things every now and then when I really want something and would like to use that Q.

If you want to or not is totally up to you. I got this info from an employee at HF. If you really think about it, how can they enforce it. As I was saying in my previous post, I can hit all HF stores in one day where I live using the same Q. I'm I not the same customer then using the same Q over and over again?:dunno:

Thanks for the help, as far as being cheesy I think walking into a harbor freight once is cheesy. :lol_hitti

I am there to get a few specific items, so hopefully they will have them. I don't have a problem with giving my GF a coupon and making her buy something. We will be there 3 days, so I can go on different days if needed. I have a bunch of coupons printed.
