Has anyone tried to use a coupon code number at the register in the store without having the coupon?

I was almost unable to use a coupon code while having the coupon. Does that count?

I wasn't in the system for mail because the cashier typed my phone number incorrectly.

The coupon I had saved on my phone wasn't valid because the cashier typed the code incorrectly.

Do you know if this is a LOCATION SPECIFIC sale? In the market to buy a 44" unit and happy to buy during this event, if my local HF has the sale.

Otherwise, can I use the 20% or 25% off coupon on the 44" cabinet? The coupon I have said I couldn't, but maybe others exist w/o the restriction?

I was in HF last night (SW Denver) and the lady said they have at least 20 44" and bigger tool cabinets for the parking lot sale. I didnt ask her the price but she said they were a good discount. Although with the snow today I'm not sure what the status of the sale is.

I called my local HF today (Tulsa) and they confirmed the tent sale is scheduled 10/10 - 10/12. Price on the 44" cabinet I want will be $349.

Also, the lady said I could NOT use the coupons with the cabinet.

Funny side note....if any of you have seen Knocked Up, the girl sounded like the oriental roommate girl that mumbles. I was like WTF.

Since the 44" top rarely goes on sale I was curious if anyone has stacked two lowers. I have heard of someone doing this but have not seen any pictures or anything of it. Anyone got any insight on this?

The bottom of one will not fit inside the top lip of the other. And then there's all that weight on one set of casters.

For the HF 44" if you do not put them on casters it would work just though you place a small piece of wood on top of the bottom one. Someone even mention flipping the top one upside and placing the drawers back in, that would give you two wide drawers in the middle. No one seems to have done it yet.

I tried two days ago, their point of sale system actually blocks the discount which shoots them a red flag so they read the coupon to see why it got rejected. For some on godly reason I couldnt use the 25% off coupon for a bench mounted buffer and as they read the fine print they couldnt figure out why. The floor manager can allow access to do a manual price over ride with their manger employee number. (Got my 6inch buffer for 25 bucks!)

Was hoping it was in a magazine, been looking for a coupon on the Top Chest for a while now since the last time I think it was Feb/March time frame. Since then no luck, hopefully it come back up. I get the regular ads in the mail but not those booklets. Spend a bunch of money there but oh well for me.

you're right, it doesn't work. Kinda sucky, because a plasma cutter isn't a welder... and the coupons doesn't specifically state plasma cutters.

Go to the store and talk to manager and tell him/her that. Since the coupon does not say metal fabrication tools it says welders they might list let you use it. Can't hurt to try.

I used the coupon for the 44" top yesterday. Guess it really depends on the store you go to, or the clerk at the register. I took a picture with my phone of the coupon code, not even the whole coupon. Just a close up of the number and they entered it in manually and it went through. Funny that we get so excited when these boxes go on sale, but it's really only 10% off. Now that 25% off coupons seem to be common, don't know why these box coupons are so limited by HF.
